Meet Aashiyana Patel | Actor & Musician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Aashiyana Patel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aashiyana, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have been told from a very young age that I am very creative. When I was really young, I discovered my passion for singing and acting. I would always perform for my family and others. As I grew up, I continued to pursue my passions and learn instruments as well, such as piano and guitar. Acting provides me with the opportunity to step into the shoes of different characters, to explore their motivations, and to bring their stories to life. I love the thrill of being in front of the camera and the ability to transport audiences to different worlds. Additionally, music allows me to channel my innermost feelings and thoughts into melodies and lyrics. Whether I’m strumming a guitar, playing a piano, or singing my heart out, I am able to communicate and connect with people on an emotional level that words alone cannot achieve. In both acting and music, I pursued a creative career to be a part of something larger than myself, to communicate with the world in a unique way, and to evoke emotions and provoke thought.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
As an actor and musician, what sets me apart is my commitment to authenticity and the deep emotional connection I bring to my work. I strive to tell stories and evoke emotions that are genuine and relatable. I’m most proud of my ability to connect with people through my art. The moments when I see the audience move are the most fulfilling. These connections and the impact my work has on people’s lives are what drive me to continue creating. My journey to where I am today professionally has been a mix of dedication, hard work, and perseverance. It hasn’t always been easy, and I’ve faced challenges like rejection, self-doubt, and the competitive nature of the industry. However, I overcame these obstacles by staying true to my passion, continuously improving my craft, seeking guidance from mentors like my acting coach, Michelle Tomlinson, and receiving support from my family and friends. Every setback served as a lesson and an opportunity for growth. Along the way, I’ve learned that success in the artistic world requires patience and resilience. It’s about embracing failure as a stepping stone to success, continuously refining your skills, and never losing sight of your creative vision. Collaboration and building strong support are also key, as they help you navigate the highs and lows of the industry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When my friend first arrives in Los Angeles, it’s only fitting that they experience some of the city’s most iconic attractions. We will start our adventure by visiting the Hollywood Wax Museum, a place I remember well because it was one of the first spots I went to when I first came to LA. The lifelike wax figures of my favorite celebrities are amazing, providing an up-close encounter with Hollywood’s biggest stars. Afterward, we will take a stroll down the Hollywood Walk of Fame, where the names of entertainment legends are embedded in the sidewalk, and we can feel the rich history of the entertainment industry all around us. But we won’t stop there. Next, we will immerse ourselves in the thrilling world of Universal Studios Hollywood, where we can enjoy incredible rides, shows, and behind-the-scenes experiences in a real working film studio. This is my favorite place to visit because I love The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, where I feel like I am at Hogwarts. And, of course, don’t miss out on the beautiful beaches. We will spend a relaxing day at Santa Monica Beach, taking in the sun, and exploring the Santa Monica Pier. These experiences will offer a mix of entertainment, culture, and natural beauty, making our trip to LA truly memorable.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout and express my heartfelt gratitude to several individuals and groups who have played a pivotal role in my journey. First and foremost, my parents and my entire family: They have been my unwavering support system, encouraging me to follow my passion for acting and music. Their belief in me has been a constant source of motivation and strength throughout my career. I would also like to thank my acting coach, Michelle Tomlinson. Michelle has been instrumental in shaping my skills and helping me grow as an actor. Her guidance, expertise, and dedication to my development have been invaluable, and I owe a great deal of my success to her. Furthermore, my friend Lucy has been a true friend and a fantastic source of support, especially during crucial audition moments. Her encouragement, advice, and willingness to help me prepare for auditions have been instrumental in my growth as an actor. These individuals in my life deserve a significant amount of credit and recognition in my story. Their unwavering belief in me, their guidance, and their encouragement have played a significant role in my creative career, and I am immensely grateful for them.
