Meet Adrian Davis | Actor, Photographer, Preacher, Speaker, and Author

We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Davis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Adrian, is there something you believe many others might not?
Well you know the phrase “Fake it, til you make it” I don’t necessarily agree with that statement. I believe “Be it, before you see it.” In order for you to become what you truly believe you are called to be, you have to see yourself as that before you walk into that. I don’t believe its about “faking it” It’s about you believing it and moving like you believe it. You are already who you are, you are just wanting on it to manifest to your reality. See yourself as what you desire and BE IT.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a creative creator by nature, I feel as if I was created to create things. At times that means creating a design for clothing, creating a show idea, or creating a mood board for a photoshoot that I’m going to take. The whole idea behind what I feel I’m suppose to do is create. One of the greatest challenges with that is trying to learn and understand what do I need to create for this current time. Also a great challenge is knowing that you might not ever be void of ideas so knowing when to put certain ideas on the shelf to come back to build that out later. How I address and overcome that obstacle is that I strategize about everything and asking myself “Is this a good time for this.” I think as a creative and entrepreneur we focus so much on the challenges around us that we overlook the challenges within us and the way we think or process information. A great idea isn’t always a now idea.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well we would go sightseeing in California because it is so beautiful. Driving through the mountains to show Malibu, on that list would consist of Nobu in Malibu for the vibe alone. Then we would have to have dinner at Catch LA. Thats one of my favorite spots. We catch a Lakers game or Rams game depending on the season. One of the days for lunch we would head to The Highlight Room to do lunch and look at the views, along with a Runyon Canyon hike to see the views there as well. Disneyland would be apart of the schedule as well, and one night we would head to Urban Lights to snap some pics that would conclude our trip.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly I would like to shoutout those in my life that allowed me to grow from my mistakes and failures. Those that didn’t freeze me in a season of grief, bad choices, and character flaws. Thank you for allowing me to grow and also thank you for allowing my book to go on and not freezing me in a horrible chapter. It’s too many people to name but I’m grateful that their love and support didn’t end or run out.
