We had the good fortune of connecting with Albert Ramon Jr and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Albert, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
From a young age, I’ve been captivated by the world of music. The ability of melodies and rhythms to convey emotions and tell stories has always fascinated me. As I delved deeper into this passion I discovered the art of DJing, which allowed me to not only appreciate music but also become an active participant in shaping the experiences of others.

Choosing a career in music, DJing, and events was a natural progression for me because it combines my love for music with the thrill of creating immersive and memorable experiences. The energy on the dance floor, the synergy between different tracks, and the power to set the mood for an entire event are aspects that continue to fuel my passion.

Music, in its various forms, is a universal language that transcends boundaries and brings people together. Through DJing and organizing events, I found a unique way to contribute to the shared joy and unity that music fosters. It’s not just about playing tracks; it’s about curating an atmosphere, understanding the pulse of the audience, and creating a space where people can just be themselves and have a good time.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey in the world of DJing and music has been an exhilarating exploration of sound, rhythm, and the power of collective energy. What distinguishes my approach is the seamless blend of West-Coast Hip Hop & Latin Music creating an immersive experience that resonates with audiences on a whole different level. I take pride in not just playing music but curating an atmosphere that lingers in the hearts and minds of those who hear me DJ.

The path to where I am today professionally has been a dynamic mix of passion, dedication, and overcoming challenges. DJing is an art form that requires both technical skills and a deep connection to the audience. Early on, I faced the challenges of breaking into a competitive industry, refining my skills, and staying attuned to evolving musical tastes. There were many sleepless nights, unpaid gigs, lost and damaged equipment, but all these things helped shaped and develop me into the DJ I am today.

The excitement in my work comes from the ability to transcend genres and seamlessly blend diverse musical elements. What I’m most proud of is the ability to create an inclusive space where people from all walks of life come together, connected by the universal language of music. I have been a part of so many different events and have met so many wonderful people from all different walks of life just from DJing at these events.

The road to success in the music industry is rarely easy. It demanded resilience, adaptability, and a constant hunger for growth. Challenges, whether technical or logistical, became stepping stones rather than obstacles. Embracing setbacks as opportunities to refine my craft and connect with audiences on a deeper level has been a guiding principle.

Through the highs and lows, I’ve learned that authenticity is paramount. The most memorable moments in my career have come from staying true to my musical identity and expressing my unique voice. It’s not just about playing popular tracks; it’s about crafting an experience that leaves a lasting impression.

My brand is a reflection of this authenticity and my true passion for music. I want the world to know that each set is a carefully curated expression of my love for the art form and a celebration of the shared joy that music brings. Remaining humble and truthful has been a guiding principle in my career. I am grateful for every opportunity to share my passion, and I recognize that it’s the support of the audience that makes each performance meaningful. Whether performing for a small, intimate crowd or a large audience, I approach each set with the same level of gratitude and enthusiasm.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Currently I live in Portland, Oregon. If I had a friend visiting the area there are a few top places I would take them.

The first on my list would be the Oregon Coast – Cannon Beach. The beach in Oregon is a lot different than the beaches back in my home state of California, but the scenery is immaculate and I would want my friend to experience it,

As far as eating goes, I would take them to Roger That BBQ in Salem, Oregon – one of my favorite BBQ spots in the area.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to express heartfelt appreciation to my family for their unwavering support. My parents (Albert and Shannon Ramon) have consistently stood by me, providing steadfast encouragement through every twist and turn. Their presence is a constant reassurance, and I am grateful for their enduring support. In addition, my siblings (Michelle Martinez, Robert Ramon, and Melissa Ramon) play an integral role in my support system, offering valuable advice whenever I seek it. A special shoutout goes to my incredible girlfriend (Maria Castaneda-Cervantes), whose presence keeps me grounded. She not only rocks my world but also holds it down for me, adding a beautiful and stabilizing force to my life.

Another special thanks to all my family and friends, in which the list would be too long to add, that have helped and supported me along the way. I am truly thankful for each and every one of you.
