We had the good fortune of connecting with Alejandra Sinclair and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandra, what do you attribute your success to?
I feel that my success is down to the authenticity that underpins my work. I only photograph things that I love, that resonate, that bring me joy and happiness.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I was gifted my first camera in 2010, a Sony Alpha! I begun to photograph the natural world and landscapes in particular. I remain passionate about these things, however when I moved to the UK in 2017, I started to play around with styling and props, airing on the side of arranging vintage themed items in beautiful ways.

In the first UK lockdown of 2020, I became the owner of my amazing NIKON Mirrorless camera, which allowed me to quickly improve the quality of my photography.
I began to use fruit, flowers, seashells , cups of coffee to name a few things, which led to my style developing into where I am today.
I would say that my Instagram account@bohemia_photos has been the turning point in growing my audience and I now have 4800 followers, many who have now become friends. I definitely feel I am part of an artistic community there.
Moving to the UK, I had to quickly improve my conversational English. I then became a mother and so the juggling of a new baby, then returning to my day job made juggling my professional photography career quite difficult. I am lucky that my son Bejamin in now in nursery and my “day-job”, so to speak, allows me time to work on my art, but it is not easy and I am constantly tired, but it is all becoming worth it as my brand is becoming more established and my photography work becoming more in-demand.
I advocate and encourage people to live slowly and intently, to notice the beauty in the simplest of little things

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am passionate about supporting local independent businesses and believe they play a huge role in community. I am especially fond of helping local female business women create beautiful photographic branding content and therefore wish to shout loudly about the following female-owned businesses I have recently worked with on brand imagery…
