We had the good fortune of connecting with Alex Solca and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alex, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to find a job I would enjoy and would make me happy. I also wanted to be my own boss and work with nice people.
Money was’t certainly my motivator.
I was driven by having fun and improving my craft.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
It certainly was harder than expected to learn my craft and especially make a living out of it. But at the same time I don’t see anything more fun I could do with my time so the pleasure and adrenaline rush you feel when you do it is worth the frustration you sometimes experience.
You just have to keep moving forward and keep it fun.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Most likely I would take them to a road trip…… maybe Joshua Tree, Death Valley… If the timing was right I would get a couple of tickets for a concert.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
The Leu Family in Switzerland: they gave me a lot of support And still inspire me. They taught that with a dream and hard work you can be whoever you wan to be.
They are incredible artist and people from all over the world get inked at their studio.
