We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexander Orozco and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexander, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success/brand is that I wasn’t looking for it, it found me. Not knowing how much of an impact it was going to have on so many communities from all over, supporting small businesses in the food industry became a calling for me.
Now understanding that food is the platform, quickly turned into a movement by just being me, opening up about my mental health struggles, autism, and diabetic experiences, everything that hit home for me, to putting together toy drives for Christmas, donating 100 meals to the healthcare workers that took care of me when I had covid, and so much more, but last, and not least, my wife, my rock that has stuck with me thru thick & thin, without her, there would not be Thehoodfoodie, all part of God’s Plan!🙏🏼

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Thehoodfoodie was created by the people, for the people, combined with the uniqueness of my creativity. What sets me apart, it is that I never ran where everyone was going, I always wanted to be different from everybody else since day one.
It all started when I was finally fed up with the person that I was at the time, that pushed me on a journey to work on myself, and love myself.
My biggest joy out of this, is all the love and support that I receive from so many, and to see my wife and kids be so proud of their husband and dad.
Was it easy, yes, for the most part, there has been some obstacles through out the years, but I’m glad that I went through them, because it has made me the person that I am today, other than that’, I haven’t worked a day since, because this is what I love to do.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I believe that my friend would be so happy to live a week in the life of Thehoodfoodie, visiting all these amazing people, and their food businesses, not only that, but the way that they embrace us with all their love.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes! All of the amazing people and stories that I have come across in this beautiful journey, have definitely impacted me to keep going.
