We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Molnár and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Alexandra, why did you pursue a creative career?
The reason why I create is to be able to bring relief. To help people, myself and any other strange creatures in the world and beyond that. When I was a child I heard tales, then I started to tell and write them. Later these stories came to life on paper and long after on human skin.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Someones art always has to come from the human soul itself. So will it be honest, authentic, and find its audience. I adore mushrooms, nature, arcane things, surrealism and the human body. The animism, the paganism, the ancient witchcraft, the written fantasy, Writers and Poets, supernatural and my own dreams together they affect my art. I believe I’m still at the beginning of my journey, and though it’s hard, all the time I put in is worth it. Maybe the most important thing that I realized over the years, is to be humble about your work, and believe in yourself, because if you don’t, no one else will. I hope, everyone who needs it, will find Mjolnir’s mushrooms in time. It’s a dark and unusual, but also a charming world.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My hometown is located in the heart of Europe, on the western part of Hungary. Szombathely is surrounded by forests and nature reserves, but with a lot of sightseeing opportunities among the wall of the city as well. We would visit the local observatory, the Arboretum and botanical garden, and we’d ride the tides on the local lake, but most of our time we’d take walks and have good conversations in the forest far away from the noises of the city. I’m sure I’d take her to my grandmother’s house to feel the taste of her magical cooking skills, and after lunch, there’s always room for wine and schnapps on the table. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Ever since I can remember my family was always by my side. I also learned a lot from my mentors during my college years. They helped me develop a strong foundation in creative arts. Despite all the support, I felt the true breakthrough with 3 person arriving in my life. One is a good friend, a mentor, my master if I’m the padawan. Vivien Franken helped me to acquire the basics in tattoo arts, to respect success and to face misfortune too. She’s one of the firsts who believed in me. One is my true love, my best friend, who’s my biggest supporter and critic at the same time, uplifting and inspiring, making me learn about the world and myself the most. He’s the reason I met the third and the most important person, our son.
