Meet All Things Plastics

We had the good fortune of connecting with All Things Plastics and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi All Things Plastics, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
1) As full-time nurses and best friends, we envisioned creating a brand that merges our nursing expertise with our specialty in plastic surgery. Recognizing that the world of plastic surgery has long been misunderstood as taboo, we aimed to debunk and normalize these discussions. Thus, All Things Plastics was born—a platform where individuals can educate themselves on various procedures and contemplate whether plastic surgery aligns with their personal goals, weighing the transformative benefits against the considerations.
In our early stages, we’re already seeing the positive impact of our brand. Through email and social media, we receive numerous inquiries which we integrate into our content, fostering greater awareness and understanding.
2) Social Impact: how does your business help the community or the world?
All Things Plastics, plays a significant role in helping the community by providing valuable education and information on plastic surgery. Some ways in which our brand contributes positively:
– Education & Informed Decision Making: by offering accurate and detailed information about plastic surgery, we empower individuals to make informed decisions about their health and appearance. This can lead to better outcomes and satisfaction for those considering plastic surgery.
– Safety & Awareness: promoting safety and awareness around plastic surgery procedures helps potential patients understand the risks and benefits involved. This can prevent misunderstandings or unrealistic expectations.
– Supporting Well Being: many individuals considering plastic surgery are seeking improvements in their physical appearance that can enhance their self esteem and overall well being. Our brand supports these goals by providing the necessary knowledge and resources.
– Ethical Standards: by not promoting plastic surgery but instead focusing on education, our brand adheres to ethical standards in the industry. This approach ensures individuals are guided by factual information rather than marketing pressure.
– Community Impact: our efforts contribute to the broader community by fostering a culture of informed decision making and responsible healthcare choices. This can lead to a more knowledgeable and empowered society when it comes to personal health decisions
All Things Plastics provides education/information to the general public on plastic surgery. While we do not promote plastic surgery we provide necessary information which allows those interested in plastic surgery to make an educated decision.
3) Risk Tasking: how do you think about risk, what role has taking risk played in your life/career?
We believe success requires embracing risks. When we decided to venture into content about plastic surgery, it presented us with opportunities for learning and personal growth. We were initially concerned about how our audience and our brand would be perceived in the sometimes unforgiving realm of social media. Despite these uncertainties, we recognized the importance of taking calculated risks—whether in launching new projects, pursuing further education, or making career transitions—as integral steps toward achieving significant milestones.
4) What is the most important factor behind your success/the success of your brand?
Consistency and transparency are pivotal to our brand’s success. Before creating and filming content, we had a thorough discussion about our commitment to providing honest, unfiltered insights into plastic surgery. We aim to present both the positive outcomes and the realistic challenges, believing that this integrity is essential for building trust and credibility with our audience. Without their trust, our success would not be possible.
5) How to know whether to keep going or give up ?
We persist in creating content driven by our followers’ feedback. Direct messages regularly arrive, posing questions, seeking recommendations, and offering feedback affirming the usefulness of our content. Knowing that our efforts positively impact even one person fuels our determination to persevere.
6) Work life balance: how has your balance changed over time? How do you think about the balance?
Since launching All Things Plastics, we’ve navigated a steep learning curve filled with content creation, extensive research, ebook development, and the meticulous filming and editing of our own videos. Balancing these tasks alongside our demanding roles as full-time nurses—and our personal lives beyond social media—has reshaped our work-life balance considerably. Editing alone is no small feat.
Fortunately, sharing responsibilities between the two of us has been instrumental. It not only lightens the load but also ensures a healthier work-life balance.
7) What makes us happy? Why?
As nurses specializing in plastic surgery, we recognize that many perceive these procedures as superficial, vain, or indicative of low self-esteem. However, our extensive experience of over three years in this field has shown us firsthand how plastic surgery goes beyond mere appearance. It profoundly enhances self-confidence, improves both physical and mental well-being, fosters comfort in one’s own skin, and aligns appearance with gender identity.
These transformations impact countless individuals daily. Whether it’s a mother of four reclaiming her sense of self, a dedicated lawyer rediscovering balance after years of advocacy, or someone overcoming significant weight loss challenges, each story illustrates how plastic surgery can restore confidence and potentially lead to improved life outcomes. It brings us great satisfaction to witness these positive changes in our patients.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Starting from nursing school, where plastic surgery wasn’t even on our radar, to now working alongside top surgeons in Beverly Hills and caring for various patients in both the aftercare and operating room settings, sets us apart from others. We are most proud of our continued dedication to understanding the intricacies of each surgery and prioritizing patient safety, as it shines through our hard work and commitment. We understand that having an array of knowledge and experiences set us apart in our field and have opened doors to opportunities we might not have imagined before. As our job is not always easy, but we aim to continue to make a difference in the lives of our patients!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Beverly Hills is full of iconic spots that offer a mix of glamour, luxury, and charm. We personally love enjoying the luxury hotels in the area, that tend to have beautiful rooftops that not only have amazing spas and pools, but that also provide delicious food and drinks, with a gorgeous view over looking the city. Our favorite hotels would be the Waldorf Astoria, The Peninsula Hotel and SIXTY Beverly Hills. After a long week at work, these roof tops provide an upscale and relaxing atmosphere where we are able to unwind.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We owe much of our success, to the handful of amazing surgeons we work for in Beverly Hills, without their education inside and outside of the operating room, much of this would not be possible.
