We had the good fortune of connecting with Amanda Aiko and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amanda, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Before starting my healing practice, I worked in tech as a Product Manager. As an empath and recovering people-pleaser, I struggled to uphold boundaries in my job—not just physical ones, but emotional and mental boundaries as well. My work often followed me beyond office hours, lingering in my thoughts and draining my energy. In my final year in corporate, I transitioned into an even higher-pressure role, which came with more responsibilities, greater expectations, and less structure. The weight of that job took a toll on me, both figuratively and literally. I gained 15 pounds that year, a physical manifestation of the burden I was carrying. Deep down, I knew the Universe was nudging me out of that world, showing me that no matter how much I clung to the illusion of security in tech, I would never find true balance or ease there. My spirit could never feel stable in an environment that depleted me.

At the end of that difficult year, I manifested a spectacular layoff (yes, I intentionally manifested the exact day it happened, and no, it had nothing to do with my work performance). That moment became the catalyst that launched me into building my practice full-time. The shift in my work-life balance was immediate and profound. I lost those 15 pounds effortlessly, but more importantly, I felt lighter in my spirit.

Two major changes contributed to this transformation. First, I was finally doing work that felt deeply aligned with my purpose. When your work feels purposeful, it stops feeling like a burden and becomes something exciting and fulfilling. Second, I had the freedom to structure my days in a way that prioritized my well-being. Mornings became sacred—time for meditation, walks in nature, and practices that kept my energy grounded. By ensuring my “battery” was fully charged before starting work, I found that I was naturally more productive, creative, and energized when it was time to focus.

As my own boss, I’ve learned that investing in my well-being is just as much an investment in my business as anything else. When my spirit feels whole, my work thrives. I’ve also discovered that my most productive hours are between 1-7 PM, so instead of trying to force myself to work outside of those hours, I give myself slow, intentional mornings which allow me to show up at my best later in the day. This balance has been life-changing for my mind, body, and spirit.

I truly believe that everyone has their own natural rhythms. If we all had the autonomy and flexibility to structure our days in a way that supported our individual needs and energy cycles, the world would be a much happier place. And honestly, there would probably be way fewer angry drivers on the streets of LA!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My work is all about guiding people to align with their highest, most authentic frequency. As a Quantum Healer, Past Life Regressionist, and Ethical Non-Monogamy (ENM) Coach, I help my clients uncover the true root causes that shape their present reality so they can shift into a higher-vibration version of themselves. Those root causes are often a combination of deeply reinforced patterns, energetic blockages, and past-life or karmic influences that manifest as health challenges or habits that feel impossible to break.

For example, I worked with a client who struggled with chronic digestive issues and, over the span of 2-3 months, experienced food poisoning four times. During a session, we discovered that he had been carrying deeply rooted fear and anger toward certain family members—emotions he had unknowingly stored in his stomach. This pent-up energy was not only causing his digestive issues but also attracting repeated episodes of food poisoning into his energetic field. To truly heal, he needed to release these emotions and intentionally address his unresolved family wounds. Through a past life regression, we uncovered that he had once lived an indigenous lifetime within a deeply connected tribe, where family and community were central to his existence. His healing journey required him to rediscover the value of those bonds in this lifetime, allowing him to evolve into a more whole and harmonious version of himself. This client’s story is just one example of the profound insights that emerge through my work, giving individuals a deeper understanding of their soul’s journey and empowering them to shift into a higher frequency.

What sets my work apart is the authentic, grounded, and loving energy I bring to each session. I create a space where my clients feel deeply safe, seen, and understood, in a way that’s unique to my own energy signature. Choosing a practitioner is an extremely personal decision, and it’s important to me that my clients feel a strong resonance with my energy. When that connection is there, I know I can offer them something truly special—something that no one else can. If that resonance isn’t present, I fully believe it’s just as important for them to find the person who does feel like the right fit for their healing journey.

One of the most important revelations I’ve had along the way is that no practitioner can truly “heal” a client unless the client is ready and motivated to make the necessary changes to heal themselves. The mind is an incredibly powerful place, and it can either empower or sabotage a person’s healing. Without the willingness to do the inner work and shift stubborn patterns, it’s easy to stay stuck in a version of reality that we’re unhappy with. Mindset and motivation are so crucial to healing. A person’s intention and commitment to their own transformation are the foundations that allow the healing process to truly unfold. My role as a practitioner is to guide, support, and hold space, but the client’s readiness and belief in their ability to change are key to unlocking their potential.

Getting to where I am today has been a continuous lesson in listening to my intuition, checking in with how I feel at each stage of my journey, and recognizing when it’s time to shift. I spent years in the corporate world, feeling drained and disconnected from my true purpose, but that experience was essential for me to develop important business skills and to also realize that true freedom and fulfillment can’t be achieved through the size of my paychecks. The transition from corporate life to my healing work required me to place my full faith in my intuitive inner voice, which I call the Higher Self. They guided me to release my deepest fears and fully commit to my calling. There were many moments of doubt and financial uncertainty, but through every challenge, my unwavering belief in my Higher Self has carried me forward. Time and time again, they’ve shown me that as long as I listen, everything unfolds in ways more magical and aligned than I could have ever planned myself. Without fail, my Higher Self has always been right. Now, it’s my honor to carry forward these lessons and guide my clients in connecting with their own Higher Selves—helping them trust, heal, and step into their highest potential.

Ultimately, my work is about liberation—empowering people to break free from outdated conditioning, limiting beliefs, and the fear that keeps them small. Whether it’s clearing past-life trauma, navigating conscious relationships, or stepping into their power as creators of their own reality, I want people to know that they are capable of so much more than they’ve been led to believe. My mission is to support and inspire others on that journey, and I’m endlessly grateful to do this work.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d center our time together around activities that nourish the soul. As a lover of nature, mindful movement, and a lazy brunch, I’d guide us through a day that feels effortless yet enriching. We’d start each morning at my favorite café in Mar Vista, Sachi LA, grabbing matcha before heading to one of the peaceful trails on the west side for a leisurely stroll and quiet meditation by a tree. Afterwards, we’d indulge in an epic breakfast burrito at either Bluey’s in Mar Vista or Breakaway Cafe in Culver City, taking our time to savor the food and each other’s company—likely diving into conversations about soul purpose, past lives, and the infinite, limitless nature of the universe (typical brunch convo right?).

In the afternoon, once we’ve digested, we’d get moving and flowing. Depending on our moods, we might head to Yoga Nest in Venice for a grounding vinyasa class, Cliffs of Id in Culver City for some indoor rock climbing, or Pause Studio in Marina del Rey for an invigorating session of sauna/ice bath contrast therapy. Afterwards, we’d wind down with dinner at my place—I love nourishing my loved ones with delicious, vibrant foods. To finish the day, we’d enjoy a long soak in my hot tub under the stars, and get to bed by 10pm (because I’m a grandma at heart, and I need my sleep!).

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My greatest supporter, sounding board, and mirror has been my anchor partner, Aaron. He’s an incredible healer in his own right, using sound and creativity as his mediums. I’m beyond grateful to have found a soulmate whose values align so closely with mine and whose journey of personal growth and transformation continues to inspire me deeply.
