Meet Amber Wegner | Actor & Podcast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Amber Wegner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amber, what do you attribute your success to?
I think the most important factor behind my success as both an actor and a filmmaker, is my absolute belief in not only myself, but also a belief in what’s possible.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am an actor, writer, podcast host, and creative artist. I believe what sets me apart from others is my unwillingness to give up. I may take a healthy pause from time to time, but I have a dream bigger than my own imagination can sometimes comprehend and I’m enjoying the process of achievements along the way.
What I’m most proud of right now is the progress Ogy and I have made on writing our limited series. It’s taken several years to get to where we are now and as we are about to develop our second series, it all just feels really exciting!
What I know for sure is that the artist journey is unpredictable and everyone has their own path and their own timeline to success.
Finding ways to enjoy the journey, even when things don’t work out as you may have planned, I think is such an important ingredient to having longevity in this career.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first place I take my visitors is to our restaurant in Santa Monica, called Augie’s on Main. It’s the BEST fried chicken sandwich EVER!!!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Wow, there’s so many people I have to thank for contributing to my successes. First and foremost, my husband of almost 16 years, Paul Wegner.
He has been with me through my ups and downs and never once has he stopped believing in me.
I also want to shoutout writer/director, Ritchie Greer who I collaborated with on many projects when I was first starting out. His star is on the rise!
Speaking of stars on the rise, look out for Saki Bomb! He is another talented writer/director who is creating amazing content right now.
Ogy Durham is my friend and writing partner. She and I recently completed writing our first limited series and are in the beginning stages of writing pilot number 2. Stay tuned!
I also want to give a shoutout to my team! My manager, Wendy Peldon at Caviar Entertainment and my agent, Courtney Peldon at Aqua Talent.
