We had the good fortune of connecting with Amir Marmar and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Amir, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind the success is treating “everyone” (employees, clients, vendors) with the utmost respect and never thinking that I am better than them or above them. In essence treating everyone equally and fairly.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The first thing that sets us apart is our company name which signifies our attitude. The JFDI in JFDI Accountants stands for Just F**king Do It which sets the tone of being doers and not talkers. In addition, we have an amazing relationship/partnership with Deloitte, which in my opinion is the best public accounting firm in the world. We currently collaborate with Deloitte on many projects and the experience to work alongside the brightest minds is truly humbling. Today my firm is considered to be one of the best accounting service providers for blockchain and cryptocurrency companies.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take my best friend to the local Temecula wineries where we can enjoy some awesome wine and a great meal. Other places that would be on the list is to go to old town Temecula that has great little shops to frequent. All that being said, I truly believe that it is not where you are but rather who you are with, so most important to me is spending quality time with the whole family at my house and then hopping into my pool.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My family deserves the credit for sure. My wife, Laura, is a true hero being an ICU Nurse working in the COVID unit. She has always been supportive of me no matter what I was doing, even back in my days of being a “broke” professional poker player. She has always stood by my side and I really look up to her for being a caring, loving and supportive individual who is on the front lines saving lives. Then there are my 2 little girls, Madison & Mia, who are able to put a smile on my face everyday I wrap up my long work days. I am truly blessed for all the amazing women in my life. Then you also have my JFDI work family. I can not accomplish what I have accomplished without my amazing team that I call my family within the confines of my work environment. This group consists of loyal, honest, and authentic hard-working individuals.
