We had the good fortune of connecting with Andrea Orbeck and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Andrea, as a parent, what do you feel is the most meaningful thing you’ve done for them?
For me personally, it was to wait to have a child. I was 43 when I gave birth and will never regret my choice. It was not perfection I was seeking but preparation, and for me personally, I needed this much time to know it was the best time. Waiting to have my daughter afforded me the ability to know so much more about myself and take inventory of my experiences and how they would all amount to me as a parent. I just wasn’t ready until then and I wasn’t in the right relationship to build a family. I’m now completely certain of myself and in turn its made me capable of being a role model with my decisions.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a fitness professional in Los Angeles. I work with clients for fitness and also provide myofascial work and and can continue physiotherapy work to recover from injuries. I also specialize in pregnancy fitness which has been super fun to see fit moms through their journey. On an entire other note, my husband and I run a very successful glamping business on our property in Topanga. We cater to guests and run fitness camps out of it. It has become a passion of ours to host guests all over the world Http://www.airbnb.com/rooms/6800557

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I am certainly bias to my glamping site which is an authentic tipi situated in the heart of the Topanga State Park. Considering we have hosted over 500 people, it would definitely be top of my list for a visitor. It also has access to some of the best trails in California and but a stones throw to the beach. If I was to build an itinerary for a friend, I would also have several delicious meals nearby, either delicious pizza at a new local Topanga restaurant Endless Color or overlook the ocean with a bottle of wine and so freshly caught seafood at Malibu Seafood. Considering I am in fitness, we would include very long hike to Eagle rock and do the Santa Monica stairs of San Vicente Naturally, the night would end under the canvas looking up at the stars after a good soak in the hot tub. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have some clients that are in the industry that have helped me balance success with kindness.

I have some noteworthy clients that are in the industry that have helped me balance success with kindness. Closer to home, it would be my sister Cheryl. She has been all things strength and support to all events trajectory in my life: The friend when I needed friendship and the parent when I needed parenting.
