We had the good fortune of connecting with AnGele Cade and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi AnGele, what do you attribute your success to?
If there is one thing I know about business, it’s that the path to success is absolutely not a straight line. Rather, it’s a journey chock-full of ups and downs that make up the richness of our business experience. So, for me the most essential factor to the success of me, my brand, and my business has been (and will continue to be) consistency. It’s all about consistency. Over the last 18 years in business, I can attribute almost every breakthrough, win, & triumph to my commitment to consistency. Even when I felt like the smallest player in the room with an even smaller offering, I stayed consistent. I showed up. I took the zoom calls. I did the work and put in the time. Even when I felt like I was running on fumes alone, I dug deep to deliver what I promised. But get this: consistent action was so much more than a benefit for my clients and bottomline. Consistency also made me an even stronger person and leader. I developed the skill of being uncomfortable, even when it was the last thing on earth I wanted to do. As I stretched, I grew. I gained the confidence to trust myself, my voice, and the value I bring to the table. I’m a firm believer that you don’t need a secret recipe. You need a plan of action and belief in yourself that you commit to following every single day.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our business has been cultivated over the last 18 years to take care of small business owners at the point of inception, transition and exit. We specialize in entity formation and plainly what that means is every business has to function in a framework such as: fictitious business name, corporation, limited liability company. Whether for profit or nonprofit we at Executive On the Go are here to help make the process as smooth as possible. We absolutely LOVE working with world-changers who exude vision and innovation, but need a little help structuring their businesses with legitimacy and legality. We light up helping passionate entrepreneurs stop worrying about “all the business stuff” and start operating in their zone of genius.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
For me and family, Crossroads Kitchen has become a celebration venue, relaxation place, and safe haven – AKA it’s another home. As a vegan family, we love supporting and connecting with local vegan restaurants and communities who share our passion for people, health, and deliciousness. During this pandemic we have explored more options from our local go to Sun Cafe, the amazing VTree, with delicious desserts from Erin McKenna’s Bakery and Trust me, I’m not kidding when I say these chefs are more like wizards. If you’re also passionate about supporting local and incredible businesses, especially during these uncertain seasons, you have to check out these amazing vegan spots!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
As entrepreneurs it can sometimes seem a lot easier (& less vulnerable) to struggle on our own, rather than asking for help. If I’m being completely honest, at times my business has felt more like my baby than an entity. So, it’s no surprise that as a business owner there have been seasons of hyper-protection where I felt like “I have to do it all, for it all to get done right.” I’m so grateful to have had the support of an incredible partner to show me that I don’t have to travel the road of entrepreneurship all on my own. I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my business partner and husband, Brandon Cade, who has been with me, every step of the way. Even through the trying seasons, we’ve stood by each other investing and growing, together. I’m so grateful we’re on this journey together and know our impact has expanded because we’re side-by-side.
