Meet Anna Rodecki | Doctor by Science, Artist by Soul.

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Rodecki and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anna, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is the quiet heartbeat beneath every brushstroke and the calculated leap behind every scientific discovery in my journey. It calls me beyond the familiar, inviting a deeper connection to the world around us—a world where art and science are not separate, but intertwined languages revealing the mysteries of nature, memory, and mindfulness.
I embrace risk by capturing fleeting moments—ephemeral glimpses of light, texture, and life—that ask me to be fully present. Each image captured becomes a meditation, a mindful act that honors memory and transforms the ordinary into something sacred. Science grounds this practice with curiosity and precision, urging me to explore the unseen patterns and rhythms that shape our existence.
In both realms, risk is the catalyst for healing—an opening through which art speaks to the soul’s quiet wounds, and science offers tools to understand and mend. This delicate balance between observation and expression, inquiry and intuition, has shaped my path, reminding me that healing is as much about connection and awareness as it is about cure.
It is in embracing the unknown—through a daring shutter click or a bold hypothesis—that I find the deepest expression of myself, discovering that without risk, there is no evolution, no magic, no healing, no story worth telling.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is the seamless weaving of two worlds often seen as separate: the precision of science and the soul of art. This dual lens allows me to explore life’s complexities with both analytical rigor and creative intuition. I am most proud of how this blend has shaped not only my work but my way of connecting deeply—with patients, research teams, and the moments that often go unnoticed in clinical care.
My professional journey has been firmly rooted in clinical research, dedicated to developing treatments that bring hope and healing to patients. A proud highlight of this journey was being honored as part of a Prix Galien–nominated team for our work in infectious disease—a recognition of the collective passion, expertise, and resilience required to advance transformative therapies. The path has never been easy; clinical research involves navigating high stakes, complex regulations, and immense pressure. Overcoming these challenges required resilience, relentless curiosity, and a willingness to take risks—whether navigating unexpected trial results or embracing new scientific approaches.
The most important lesson I’ve learned is that authentic connection—between patients, clinicians, and researchers—is the foundation for true progress. Empathy, integrity, and collaboration turn data into meaningful outcomes and give purpose to every effort.
What I want the world to know is this: my story is one of dedication and art by bridging science and humanity. It’s about advancing treatments with rigor while never losing sight of the people whose lives are touched. My brand is a commitment to innovation grounded in compassion, and to the belief that when we combine knowledge with heart, we unlock the greatest potential to heal and transform.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to Miami for a week, I’d take them on a journey stitched from sunlight, saltwater, and stories.
Day 1 – Wynwood Walls
We’d wander streets alive with murals, colors so electric they seem to hum in the heat. Every corner would feel like stepping into someone’s dream mid-brushstroke.
Day 2 – Pérez Art Museum & Bayfront Park
Glass and steel meeting sea and sky, sculptures casting long shadows in the afternoon light. We’d sit on the terrace, watching the bay shift from silver to deep blue as the day exhaled.
Day 3 – Miami Seaquarium & Everglades
Dolphins leaping in perfect arcs, manatees drifting like ancient myths, then into the Everglades where sawgrass bends to the wind and airboats skim over mirrored water. The night would end in the rhythm and fire of flamenco, where the dancers’ feet echo the heartbeat of the city.
Day 4 – Little Havana
Hand-rolled cigars, café cubano so strong it wakes the bones, stories spilling from old men playing dominoes in the park. Music tumbling from doorways, laughter spilling into the street.
Day 5 – Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden & Vizcaya Museum
A world of orchids, palms, and blossoms opening like secrets in the sun. Then onto Vizcaya, where marble steps meet the sea and every hallway feels suspended in another century.
Day 6 – The Standard Spa
A slow day of warm pools, still water, and sunsets bleeding rose and tangerine into the horizon. Conversations stretching long into the evening, unhurried as the tide.
Day 7 – Key Biscayne & Patricia Forst
A morning wrapped in ocean light, swimming until the shoreline blurs. The week closing with Patricia Forst — her voice carrying the soul of the city — a reminder that beauty is not just seen, but deeply felt.
Miami, in the end, is less a place than a tide — it pulls you in, leaves you sun-warmed, salt-kissed, and carrying its rhythm long after you’ve gone.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely — my shoutout flows like a river of gratitude for the luminous souls who have charted my course. Leonardo da Vinci, whose restless mind painted bridges between worlds, igniting the fire where art and science entwine in a dance of endless creation. David Attenborough, the storyteller of earth’s breath and pulse, whose voice carries the fragile poetry of life itself—reminding us of nature’s delicate symphony. I bow to Dr. Russell Jaffe, a healer whose pioneering light pierces the shadows of illness.
My parents — my father, a master philosopher, stripping away the brittle stone of convention to reveal the gleaming, raw marble of fearless inquiry; and my mother, a radiant hearth glowing with boundless empathy a deep echo of my soul filling it seeds of hope and resilience to bloom in wild abundance.
Together, they are the constellation by which I navigate—the unseen hands lifting me as I journey into the unknown—a reminder that no star shines alone.
