Meet Anne Lise Sylta: Director of Operations at SomeFuse

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anne Lise Sylta and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anne Lise, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
My favorite quote must be “If I was down to my last dollar, I would spend it on PR.” – Bill Gates. This is an excellent quote because there is nothing more valuable than having and maintaining a good reputation. Your reputation is every aspect of how your business relates to your customers, the outside world, the general public, and the media.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
In December 2020, I graduated with my MBA with a distinctive emphasis on entrepreneurial creativity and new business development. I was lucky to meet Jonas Muthoni last year while studying in LA, and we started talking about me coming to work with him after I graduated. In February of this year, I started working for SomeFuse PR Agency, where I’m now the Director of Operations. I am responsible for the company’s growth and have build networks and solid, long-lasting relationships with clients in all different industries and journalists in multiple media outlets.

SomeFuse is a full-service PR Agency, and we strive to guide our clients to global awareness with killer content, well-placed media exposure, design, and more. We go above and beyond to make sure our clients are satisfied by being very detailed oriented. We also value integrity and transparency, and as a result, our clients look up to us to receive best-in-class results. I am most proud and excited to work with such an excellent team of work professionals and everything we have learned and accomplished from each other. I am excited for the future and for what it will bring us.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend from Norway is actually planning on coming to visit once the pandemic allows her to, and I have a few places in mind that I would want to show her. I’m a brunch lover, so I’d definitely take her to brunch at Zinque, The Butcher, The Baker & The Cappuccino Maker, and BLK Earth Sea Sprints. I would also take her to Waldorf Astoria for dinner because it is my favorite rooftop and the view from there is amazing. Some outdoor activities would have to include biking on Venice beach, hiking Los Liones in Malibu, a walk around the Santa Monica pier, and we would have to go to the Malibu Wine Safari. Comedy clubs are a fun evening activity, so I would definitely take her to Laugh Factory and The Comedy Store. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother and father. They have always inspired me to do what truly makes me happy, even if that means me living across the world from them, either studying abroad or pursuing an international career. They support me, love me, encourage me, and they make me stronger. I aspire to be like them one day, from the love they have for each other and their love for what they do. I am truly blessed to have such an amazing support system.

Jonas Muthoni. Since day one of working together, he has been pushing me out of my comfort zone, think outside the box and become the best version of myself. His ambition, drive and leadership inspires me every day. Jonas challenges me, supports me, believes in me, and encourages me, and I truly appreciate everything he does for me.
