We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Ortiz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anthony, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The most important aspect behind starting Pairamilitary Music Group, was creating a platform to perform great music on as well as having the ability to aid in the growth of the artist I come across throughout our collaborations. It started during college and became a collective of university-trained professionals. I have 2 Bachelor’s degrees in the Entertainment industry and my partners are similar in education and drive. 

Pairamilitary Music has had industry A-list and up-and-coming artists come through and bless the mics and keys because we go beyond the standard and operate as the network-driven creative zone to enhance the potential and connection of music managers, music supervisors, recording artists, producers, songwriters, beatmakers, and musicians.  

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started music when I was younger and always kept it with me throughout the places I’ve been. I dropped my first single “Roman Royel – I’m obsessed” in 2020 during the pandemic. I’ve had the privilege of working with some very talented people so far as a producer and audio engineer like K-Lud, B$B Cino and ALN V to name a few. After performing at the Ivar Theatre in Hollywood CA with Took4Granted, we began to work on our albums.  

I’m equally inspired by the oldies I grew up on as I am with the new hits coming out. I love that the Hip-Hop culture hasn’t just taken the main stage but has grown to a huge pool of gifted artist worldwide. I think it has a historic future and I am honored to be part of it. 

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Los Angeles, I feel like we are a great city to show the best in each category. I’d start with a hike up Runyon Canyon to watch the sunrise over the entire city. The city has great places to eat like Roscoe’s, Daves Hot Chicken and Ave 26 taco stand. You can live in LA for a while and still miss some hidden gems. Downtown LA always has something going on or something you just missed. Just a great city to keep you on your toes and keep you inspired. 

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This journey has brought me past so many mentors and unique souls that have shaped my vision of the world and the way we do business out here. Special shout out to my partners at KB Recording Group and the Wrecking Spot in Los Angeles CA as well as the team at Tru Brilliance Entertainment in North Carolina. It’s inspirational to watch those who love what they do in this industry consistently lend a helping hand to those looking to start their own music careers.
