We had the good fortune of connecting with Anya Dinovich and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anya, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always loved making and creating with my hands. It was a very organic process for me. Having my brand gives me an opportunity to do what I love the most everyday.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Seven Sundays Studios is a collection of one-of-a-kind home goods that celebrate a simpler, slower, more peaceful existence by inviting the customer to create a home environment inducive to lounging around, enjoying another’s company, reading, relaxing, daydreaming. My creative process is driven by the bonds between our surroundings and happiness, our creativity and well-being, and beauty of the imperfection. I make most of my homewares in my San Francisco studio. Exploring the relationship between color, shape and touch, designs are rarely repeated and never identical. I treat every piece of material individually, celebrating flaws, rough edges and wrinkles being it leather, hide or yarn.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly I would just hangout at either (or both:) of our Airbnbs. @casaanush in Kenwood Sonoma or @sequoiahouse in Cazadero. I feel like I never get enough time to spend there. My ideal a week long itinerary would be just hang out by the pool, cook at home, drink wine, and just have some much needed human interaction.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My parents. I grew up in communist Russia and it wasn’t the best environment for a creative kid like I was. But my parents always supported me and let me try any creative outlet I chose. It felt very normal at the time but now, looking back I realize how many sacrifices they made to give me most amazing childhood and early adulthood. I’m forever grateful to them for this.
