We had the good fortune of connecting with Aradhana Modi Bejarano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aradhana Modi, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
When I started my creative career, I often felt like I was playing catch-up and frustrated that I wasn’t already at the level I aspired for. Over time, I’ve come to understand that we all begin our journeys from different starting points, whether in our careers or businesses. It’s crucial to give ourselves the space to learn and invest in our growth. On a personal level, continuous learning is essential in our ever-evolving creative industry, allowing us to acquire new skills and techniques. As an entrepreneur, reinvesting in your business is key to its growth—whether that means hiring to delegate tasks and focus on new areas, upgrading equipment for efficiency, or pursuing further education to expand your services.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
TheLittleLabs is an animation and interactive design studio that helps brands connect with their audiences through video campaigns, interactive experiences, and animated content. My husband, Camilo Bejarano, and I founded the studio in 2016 with a vision to create work that is playful, joyful, and full of character.

Entrepreneurship is a rollercoaster—the highs are exhilarating, and the lows can be challenging. Leaving a secure full-time job at Disney to start this studio was a difficult decision, but it’s one I’m incredibly proud of. This journey has pushed me to grow both personally and professionally, and it’s allowed me to contribute to some incredible projects alongside some of the most talented partners in the industry.

In the early days of my entrepreneurial journey, one of the biggest challenges was learning the business side of things—an area where I initially lacked experience. To overcome this, I sought mentorship and advice from peers, hired consultants to guide me, and conducted my own research to educate myself. But without a doubt, the most valuable lessons have come from facing the challenges of business ownership head-on.

At TheLittleLabs, we thrive on bridging the worlds of motion design, animation, and interactive experiences, especially when we can work on projects that are both impactful and meaningful.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
For sightseeing, my top picks include my favorite hiking spots, art museums, and beaches. Exploring the diverse neighborhoods of Los Feliz, Silver Lake, Highland Park, Venice, and the Arts District—along with their culinary scenes—would take up most of the itinerary. A visit to Grand Central Market and a stop for ice cream at Salt & Straw are absolute musts!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am extremely grateful for the unwavering support of my family, friends, and colleagues throughout the years. Their encouragement has been instrumental in helping me reach where I am today. A special shoutout to my parents, who provided me with the opportunities to follow my heart and pursue my dreams. I owe endless gratitude to my husband, Camilo Bejarano for constantly pushing me out of my comfort zone and believing in me even more than I believe in myself. I consider myself lucky to be surrounded by colleagues who have guided me through the years, especially Asra Rasheed and Yves Saada, whose mentorship and advice have been invaluable on my journey.
