We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariana Kaufman and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ariana, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I grew up around horses since I was in my mother’s womb. Being with horses is my soul’s passion. Horses are extremely good at teaching children and adults boundaries, consent, and emotional intelligence. It was my dream to start a business where I could help facilitate a whole body healing experience using horses as the guide. That’s when I established Hoot Owl Holler Life Coaching. My focus is on helping the mind and body connection through the healing powers of equines. Equines can hear and feel a heartbeat from at least 4 feet away. When we learn to approach the horse with a calm mind and body, many aspects of our lives become accessible to us. Parts of ourselves that seemed disconnected miraculously open. That is the wonder of working with the horse.

What should our readers know about your business?
I took many different paths before I landed my dream of starting Hoot Owl Holler Life Coaching. It really is my reason for being on this planet, and it’s something that means the world to me. To see a child smile because they are proud of themselves, to see a horse feel comfortable because their human now knows to speak their language, to see a life coaching client meet their goals, these aspects give me immense joy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Woodland Indian food, Cumberland river, Rhino’s Bookstore.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate this to all the incredible horses I have known.
