We had the good fortune of connecting with Ayda Rezaimalek and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ayda, can you share the most important lesson you’ve learned over the course of your career?
The most important lesson I learned in my career is to be confident in who I am and what I believe in.
What should our readers know about your business?
I specialize in finding and blending all-natural, organic, oils that are simple and pure. What I mean by simple and pure is that there’s no other chemicals or ingredients mixed in with them. Maiden Seed was inspired by my journey to motherhood and my travels. When I made the decision to start this brand it was solely based on sharing what I had learned through the process. We don’t need all those super expensive, fancy, products that are out in the market. We can use what Mother Nature provides us with. We truly can keep things simple and pure.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m obsessed with breweries so I would definitely line up the week with some beers at: Boomtown in DTLA, Santa Monica Brew Works, Monkish Brewery in Torrance, and Three Weavers in Inglewood
Los Angeles has so many different pockets so I would show my BF the Westside starting off with the beaches, Venice & Santa Monica. We would grub on some Mexican birria tacos @ the Mar Vista Taco truck, happy hour glasses of wine at Esters Wine Shop & Bar, wash more wine down with amazing cheeses @ Kustaa Cheese & Wine. Then finish the night off socializing @ The Lincoln. I also really love DTLA – The Last Bookstore, Little Tokyo, Grand Central Market and, my favorite spot, Manuela for drinks and brunch/lunch/dinner. The rooftop @ the ACE hotel is a must. Then there’s Echo Park, Silverlake, and Los Feliz. The swan boat ride @ Echo Park lake is really fun, the Hollyhock house and park in Hollywood. Amazing hangout and eating spots like Pine & Crane in Silverlake and Home in Los Feliz, stuff your face w/ ramen @ Silverlake Ramen, and the list goes on!! There’s so much to see and do in Los Angeles, I feel like a week wouldn’t be long enough!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes out to my family and close friends. They know who they are. Without their support and love Maiden Seed would still be a dream.
