We had the good fortune of connecting with Beck Hoehn and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Beck, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I got into the business of acupuncture because I loved that this medical system is able to help a lot of people. It’s a very successful method that can treat a wide variety of conditions with a simple medicine, and oftentimes people know very little about it. My mission has always been to educate and empower people to know they have choices when it comes to their health, and their health IS important. We are trained to not invest in our health and especially not our healthcare because it’s expensive and insurance should pay for it, but this is rarely the case. People need to prioritize their health and wellbeing because when you’re in good health you can lead a better, fuller life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Our women centric business gets down to the nitty gritty and starts open, honest conversations with our patients. A person’s health and fertility can be very intimate topics, but we strive to make sure everyone feels comfortable and included. You can talk to us about the hard topics, and we will work through it together. Our approach is about not just treating your symptoms, but also about getting to the root of the underlying issues. We work collaboratively with your other providers, so your healthcare can be covered from all angles.

We work with some of the best women and men every single day, and every message about a positive pregnancy test or someone’s improved health and quality of life makes us overjoyed. It is our hope to inspire more people to be engaged and empowered by their nutrition and health.

We are incredibly excited for the launch of our online course ‘aCHIeve fertility’. With this masterclass we hope to expand on the limited education options in the alternative health space currently available for couples trying to conceive. There is a lack of information surrounding women’s health and healthcare systems that support conception. The aCHIeve fertility masterclass will help more women get ready to conceive and present them with more choices and knowledge about their health and fertility.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hands down our friend’s new wine bar is a must to check out- Wife and the Somm. We also love the Toluca lake or Studio city farmers markets on the weekend and riding down the LA river bike path. Definitely stop along the way at spokes bicycle cafe.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We are a women centric business so of course we have been influenced by all of the women around us. I gather inspiration from the strong women around me, and this was especially true when I was starting my business. I previously worked in the motion picture industry, and the women in the film business are strong, innovative, witty, intelligent people. They are a tribe that supports each other, and they helped get me to where I am today.
