We had the good fortune of connecting with Bradley Meccariello and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Bradley, what is the most important factor behind your success?
I think the most important factor behind any success is staying true to your authentic self. We live in a world now where everyone is trying to become someone, but no one wants to be their true self. I believe we find our real power and voice when we fully accept ourselves, the good, bad, and ugly, and focus on our God given identity. In any field, but especially in the entertainment industry, authenticity will always be the key to “success” in my opinion.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Again, I feel like what will always set us apart is tapping into our full authentic self and bringing our real, raw experiences into our work. We are all so unique in our own ways and I believe we are created to be that way. And when we realize that we are enough, that is when we will truly stand out from the crowd. I’m most proud of all of the ways I have handled adversity and how I have faced the challenges head on and not strayed away from them. I think everyone knows it is not easy living in LA and pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Whether you are an actor, writer, or director, we will all face many challenges, but I think it is how we learn to face those challenges is what determines whether we “succeed” or not. Behind every challenge or problem, is a lesson that will ultimately propel us into our destiny. And I feel like in many ways I am just scratching the surface of what I am able to do artistically and where I am able to go. All in all, I hope my career and my life will be able to impact people in way that lets them know that you are fully loved and fully seen. That you are not alone and that you will be able to overcome whatever you are facing. I just want to be a light to people in what is sometimes a very dark world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love getting out in nature, far away from the city. So, I think you have to drive down the PCH and hit all of the beaches on the way to Malibu. I also love going out to Big Bear or Los Angeles Forest and spending time up in the mountains. But at the same time, if you have never been to Los Angeles, I think it is imperative to go and visit some of the famous spots that make Los Angeles what it is. You have to drive up and down Mulholland Drive and visit Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and everything in between. Another favorite spot of mine is Redondo beach down in the South Bay Area. I try to get down there a lot because I have family down there, but I think it is such a secret gem of a town because it is never crowded and it is one of the most beautiful beaches in LA.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow, yes, there are so many people to mention. First off, to live in LA, the only way to survive is to have great community around you. I would not be where I am today without my roommates, JD Huff, Jordan Fry, and Jordan Sanders who were all a God send in my life. Not to mention the countless coaches and family members who have gotten me to where I am today. I know I would not be half the man I am today without my family and their constant love and support to do what I want to do and pursue the career I am pursuing.
