We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Beattie and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brandon, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
As a small, family-owned business owner, my thought process behind starting Breezeway Air Duct Cleaning was driven by a desire to create something meaningful for my (future, at the time) family and community. I wanted to build a legacy, even if a small one, that could be passed down through generations and make a positive impact on the lives of those around me. I saw an opportunity to provide a unique service that was missing in the LA market: air duct cleaning services that are guaranteed to improve indoor air quality for families, and I felt passionate about bringing it to life. It was a challenging journey, but the idea of being able to work alongside my wife and create something together was truly inspiring. We now have 3 children, and I feel very fortunate to have created this unique service business that brings relief, improved indoor air quality to our clients, and potential opportunities for our children down the road!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Breezeway Air Duct Cleaning specializes in removing dust, debris, and contaminants from HVAC systems to improve indoor air quality and energy efficiency. We believe that what sets us apart from other air duct cleaning companies is our commitment to quality service. We are that air duct cleaning company that makes our clients “believers” in air duct cleaning. Many first-timers are skeptical at first, but once they see our commitment to quality services and experience the benefits, there’s just no turning back. Our use of advanced equipment and techniques, and a focus on customer satisfaction are another element of what we believe sets our business apart from many others. We’ve developed techniques over the past 15 years that make our air duct cleaning procedure much more thorough than the “standard.” We take great pride in our thorough cleaning processes and the benefits they provide to our customers in terms of health and comfort.

Building Breezeway Air Duct Cleaning has been challenging, as with most likely any business endeavor. It has and still does require hard work, dedication, and a strong understanding of the industry. Overcoming the challenges we have encountered has often involved adapting to changes in the market, staying informed about industry trends, and always providing exceptional service to customers.

Some lessons we have learned along the way include the importance of building a strong reputation, investing in training and equipment, and maintaining open communication with customers. It’s also crucial to stay compliant with regulations and standards in the industry.

Ultimately, what we want the world to know about Breezeway Air Duct Cleaning is our commitment to excellence, customer satisfaction, and creating a healthier indoor environment for our clients, many of whom are families with young children or babies. We are a small, family owned business, specific to the Los Angeles County, and it means a great deal to us to have the opportunity to offer our services to a new client. The warmth it brings when our clients call us back a few years later to have us perform their home’s air duct cleaning again for them is why we do what we do! We are very eager to build a sense of community surrounding the indoor air quality movement, and the more human beings we can raise awareness about this topic, the healthier each member of the household will be. We have many clients whom we share stories with, and from a distance we get to see their families grow and their lives evolve, from that first air duct cleaning appointment when they were expecting their first child, to returning for another cleaning before their child’s 5th birthday party, to now their child’s 10th or 15th birthday party, is a blessing to experience, and we are very grateful to have built the relationships we have with our clients and continue to build with new clients with each passing year.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of our favorite spots in the city are Neptune’s Net down at the Malibu/Ventura County Line—some of the best King Crab and lobster in the city! Our family is a big fan of Joselito’s Mexican Cantina in Tujunga. Brunch at Black Cow in Montrose is a must! We are also big fans of arriving early to the Santa Clarita Swap Meet at the Saugus Speedway, enjoying lunch from their food trucks, and listening to live music. They also have many bar trucks and ice cream trucks; it’s always a great time for the entire family. We can often be found at the Huntington Gardens or Descanso Gardens, where we love to explore and relax. One of our favorite hikes in LA is actually Placerita Canyon, just up the 14 North.

I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my wife, who has been my rock and biggest supporter throughout this journey of owning our small family business. Without her love, dedication, and unwavering belief in me, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Her hard work, sacrifices, and endless encouragement have truly been the driving force behind our success. I am so grateful to have her by my side every step of the way. Thank you, my love, for everything you do. You are my inspiration and my greatest blessing.
