Meet Brandon Bizzy Hollemon | Guitarist & Songwriter

We had the good fortune of connecting with Brandon Bizzy Hollemon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brandon Bizzy, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Well when I was young I was very influenced by television and music and the things around me. I remember wanting to be a fighter pilot after watching top gun and iron eagle. I remember wanting to be a kung-fu master watching those tapes. So being a guitarist and a musician came from me seeing those guys in the 80’s and 90’s music videos and me thinking man those guys look so cool and that they are having a great time. Well at least it looked that way to me as a kid. When I was 11 my father suddenly passed away and I inherited his records and tapes which I began listening to extensively. From there I asked my mother for guitar lessons and I was a natural at guitar. Ended up at Berkley college of music for guitar performance then Miami Dade for audio engineering and It wasn’t long before landing my first placement on a hiphop song. So in a way it was a tribute to my father and his love of music he passed on to me.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Love that question — let’s dive in.
My art is a fusion of raw emotion, technical precision, and genre-blending experimentation. Under the name BIZZYTHOWED, I’ve built a sound that’s hard to pin down — it’s rooted in rock and metal, but it’s soaked in hip-hop, soul, and cinematic energy. It’s guitar-driven, unapologetic, and deeply personal. What sets me apart is the intentional chaos — the kind of chaos that only comes when you’ve mastered your tools, and then decide to break the rules.
I’m most proud of how honest my music is. I’ve been through seasons — from working with chart-toppers like Kehlani, The Weeknd, and Nicki Minaj, to being broke in a studio grinding for 18-hour days, to now balancing my artistry with entrepreneurship. Every note I play, every lyric I write, is coming from a place of survival, passion, and purpose.
Getting to where I am professionally was not easy. There were times I thought about walking away — when the checks weren’t coming in, or when the industry politics got too heavy. But I kept showing up. I learned to pivot without losing my voice. I evolved. The biggest lesson? Consistency beats talent if talent gets lazy. I also learned that versatility is power — that’s why I can switch from shredding solos to producing pop hits in the same session.
I want the world to know that BIZZYTHOWED isn’t just music — it’s a movement. It’s about resilience, reinvention, and raw expression. My brand stands for freedom through art — and for anyone who’s ever felt like they didn’t quite fit in one box, this is your home.
Whether I’m performing on stage, producing behind the scenes, or mentoring the next wave, my mission is clear: to leave a legacy that’s loud, lasting, and liberating.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely, I’ve got a few shoutouts that deserve their flowers. First and foremost, my parents — they were my first audience, my first believers. They never pressured me to “get a real job” when I said I was gonna make a life out of music, and that kind of unconditional support is rare.
Then there’s Berklee College of Music — that place sharpened my skills, challenged me, and connected me with a network that still feeds my creativity and career to this day.
Also gotta give love to the Miami crew from my early production days — Mean Stringz and the Purple Popcorn band — that whole chapter was where I learned how to blend live music with studio grind. The lessons from those sessions still echo in everything I make.
On the mentor side, shoutout to my engineering and production mentors in Miami who let me sit in on sessions, mess up, learn, and eventually thrive. They taught me that being in the room is only step one — you gotta *own* the room with skill and humility.
And of course, all the artists who trusted me with their sound — from Kehlani to The Weeknd, those collaborations not only validated my vision but helped push it further.
This whole journey has never been a solo act — so to everyone who ever gave me a shot, some game, or just showed up to a gig… this shoutout’s for you. 🙏🔥
