We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Romero and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
“I am going to make everything around me beautiful – that will be my life.”

― Elsie de Wolfe

I accidently came across this quote a few years back on Pinterest (of course) and it has always stuck with me. As an Esthetician and business owner, this simple sentence encompasses my goals. When I first graduated high school in 2008 naturally, I didn’t fully have a clue what I wanted to do. The only two things I was sure about were I wanted my career to be science based and I wanted to help people. After some trials and errors of thinking I wanted to be a dental assistant, when I found esthetics in 2012 I knew I found my fit. I struggled and still struggle with my own skin so becoming an Esthetician was perfect. My days are never the same and I help create each persons definition of beauty by helping them achieve their goals. I want all my clients to feel safe in my treatment room and that it is a completely judgement free zone. I want them to feel their definition of beauty. Beauty is not a one size fits all. This quote for me gets my day going and helps reassure me even on the tough days that I am making a difference in someone’s life.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Whether facials or lash extensions a consultation is always done first so we can be on the same page as much as possible. My facial treatments and lash extension services are both customized to the individual.

Being a licensed Esthetician for 9 years I have experience using a variety of restorative techniques and exfoliation techniques to help my clients with a variety of skin concerns. In addition to my esthetics license I also have an Associates of Science degree in Science and Mathematics. Being an esthetician is pretty much all science so I utilize my science background to make sure I understand the human body and all ingredients I use during my facials. I wanted to take all that I’ve learned and still learning and bring that into being a new business owner.
I offer a variety of facials such as a calming facial, anti-acne facial, and a firming/brightening facial. Facials are not one size fits all so I want current clients and potential clients to feel comfortable knowing I customize my facials to them.  I use professional grade products to give my clients the best results possible. I also utilize a variety of skin care tools such as microdermabrasion, Gua Sha, and even LED light therapy to help elevate the facial experience. I also would love to add that facial massage is my favorite part of the facial, so expect to relax too! My business is a safe space whether you are sleeping or we’re chatting and laughing. Either way you’re literally in good hands in a judgement free zone.
I often get asked which I like more facials or doing lash extensions and that is an impossible question to answer because I love both! In addition to offering results driven facials I also offer eyelash extensions both classic and volume lash extensions! Lash extensions allow my creativity to come through. It is so fun creating a look for someone based on eye shape, lifestyle, and preference. The technique that I was trained and certified in allows me to get as many natural lashes, “lashed” to get my clients as full as possible. Please just keep in mind fullness always depends on the amount of natural lashes a client has. Now most importantly what I want readers to know is I keep the health of the natural lash in mind at all times. Lash extensions are literally glued to the natural lash so keeping the integrity of the natural lash is so important.
No matter what service is booked I want my clients to know time and care went into every little detail of my business.  Every business choice was made with discernment. When you genuinely care even as a business owner that will always shine through and as the age old saying goes, real recognize real. To all my current and future clients I look forward to seeing you soon!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Out of all the questions this has to be the toughest one! Where do I start you can spend an entire weekend and all your money at Disneyland! I love Disneyland. If a friend were visiting, we would definitely go to an amusement park Disneyland is my favorite and I enjoy Universal Studios as well. We would also make time to visit Echo Park and enjoy the swan boats. The swan boats are a lot fun and is also dog friendly. For a night out on the town we would definitely head to Beverly Hills, the garlic noodles at Crustacean is one of my favorites! On another day for more casual eating we would either hit up Shake Shack or Fat Burger or even Lucille’s for some BBQ! We would also make our way to the beach, Santa Monica Pier is always a good time even when it gets crowded. Moving to SoCal I definitely have fallen in love with driving on the PCH. I would say we would end our trip at the Griffith Observatory. When standing up there its breathtaking seeing the Hollywood sign and truly how big the LA area is.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mom will always be my #1 supporter, cheerleader, therapist, accountant, shopping buddy, editor she holds any and all titles and I’m eternally grateful and lucky! I’m honestly just all around grateful for anyone who has been rooting for me!
