We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittney Turner and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Brittney, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought process behind starting my business Taste Vita definitely stemmed from me realizing how many people (including myself) were not able to enjoy the oral sex experience from A-Z for one simple reason, the taste. I knew I had to find a solution, a solution for all genders to be able to enjoy such an amazing experience with confidence.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The adult business industry is already a white male dominated field, it’s very rare that you see 1. A woman and 2. a woman of color, in this industry. I want to show other women of color that we too deserve a place on this playing field. My dedication to my craft has definitely placed me where I am, that along with my ability to never stop learning. I’m always reading, researching, and learning about different topics in the sex industry. Was it easy? NO! Has it been worth it? Absolutely. My product has changed peoples sex lives!!! I get emails all the time from women and men about how that have never been able to go down on their partner because of the taste either being to salty, to rancid, or just not enjoyable and now they CAN NOT stop pleasing their partners!!! As far as challenges, we are an adult product in a very sensitive era so currently it’s very hard to advertise our product without being shadow banned from social media or threatened to shut down our accounts, that doesn’t stop me though I believe in my product and my brand 100% and it helps me get very creative and engage with my clients more personably. I want the world to know that in no way are we saying there is “something wrong” with our natural bodily fluids, we are just a company that strives to enhance your oral sex experience by giving you a sweeter taste down below.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m all about the views and the vibes so anywhere we go will probably be esthetically pleasing. We’d head over the Palos Verdes, hike a trail then follow up with dinner at one of my favorite restaurants Swan Thai – not only amazing food but if you catch the sunset you have a complete view of Pacific Ocean and the view is STUNNING. Now, my best friend and I LOVE to shop, so we’d definitely tackle the West Hollywood district, stopping for lunch and mechanical bull riding at Saddle Ranch, then drinks at Ysabel. We couldn’t forget to hit up the Melrose Trading Post and the Rose Bowl because who doesn’t love vintage finds? I say all this which will be a great time, but sometimes the days when there’s no plan at all are the best days. It’s like up up and away we go where we land no one will know! Then we end up at the coolest funnest little mom and pop taco spot with great music and inexpensive shots!! LOL

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to recognize my mother, Kori Jones. She passed a few years ago from Stage 4 lung cancer. She was my best friend, my biggest cheerleader and my light in a dark place. I want to thank her for continuously pouring her love into me, never judging me, encouraging me to tackle my dreams and reminding me that I am bigger than any fear I could ever face. When she passed I almost threw in the towel and stopped working on my Taste Vita formula. It was the wisdom that she instilled in me prior to her passing that pushed me to never stop, and step into my own light. Thank you Mommy.
