We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryan Grant and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryan, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
I love this question because our core values shape everything we do. When I started Bryan Grant Studios it was important for me to treat every artist, producer, and client with respect and integrity. This also means we value the work that comes into the studio, while not taking anything for granted. We work tirelessly to be the best at what we do while always pushing ourselves to listen and learn in order to be growing and adding the greatest value to the projects we produce.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Bryan Grant Studios is known for its creative solutions for brands and agencies worldwide. We specialize in high-end motion graphics, design, and animation. We produce world-class animated brand content for the entertainment industry from animated logos to network rebrands and product launch films. Our diverse capabilities allow us to deliver premium creative content on any size screen for brands large and small. It all started from my dining room table over 15 years ago with a strong desire to win over clients as a freelance motion graphics artist. Back then most of the work was designing and animating DVD menus for film studios. The work quickly evolved to animating brand logos, broadcast commercials, and film titles. As I continued working with clients, they kept coming back with more work and positive recommendations to more clients, allowing me to expand my client roster. As the volume expanded I was able to hire talented artists to help with the work while I oversaw the creative work. With great patience, passion, and persistence I grew the business into employing anywhere from 15-40 employees every year with clients like Warner Brothers, Netflix, Apple, NFL and so many more. Through the years I’ve learned that it pays off to cherish everyone who works for you as your success is only achievable with the help of their remarkable talents. Recognize them, encourage them, promote them.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This is a great question and very easy to answer as there are so many incredible places around Los Angeles to take friends. While this is in no particular order here is a list of places we would go to enjoy the city’s food, entertainment, and activities. Places To Enjoy: 1. A drive up the coast! Malibu, Santa Barabra, Big Sur! All stunning places to enjoy the sunshine and ocean views. 2. Palm Springs for a relaxing time in the desert and by the pool! 3. A drive south of LA. Dana Point & Laguna Beach are beautiful and restful places to enjoy seafood and chill on the beach. 4. The magic castle. Always fun to grab dinner and some amazing magic shows. 5. Hikes! While there are so many my favorite to bring out of towners is up to see the Hollywood sign. 6. If you really want to play Tourist the Grove is fun to walk around and shop as is the Hollywood & Highland area. Places to eat: 1. While everyone has different tastes here are a few of my favorites: Asanebo or Nobu Sushi in Malibu, Moon Shadows & Water Grill for seafood, Fresh & Gracias Madres for vegan options, Langers for deli, Moos Craft BBQ, and first Friday in Venice for a variety of awesome food trucks! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My entire family was always encouraging in my creative endeavors from a young age. My parents were daily sources of support and guidance, while a very generous uncle bought me my first 8mm video camera when I was 12. Throughout my life, I’ve been fortunate to be influenced by so many people from teachers in high school & college to colleagues all along the way. This is why it’s important to me that I’m available whenever people phone me for advice in business, or how to navigate the industry.
