We had the good fortune of connecting with Bryan Rone and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bryan, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Aside from placing top priority on total independence with how fast to grow, to choosing the projects we get to work on, I started my business as an umbrella organization, a one-stop shop, for what me and my teams are known for in the entertainment industry: namely visual production, education, wardrobe styling, and choreography.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
So I describe myself as a Creative Professional. I got my start in the entertainment industry in the production side of music videos right out of school. Concurrently, I had also been a dancing professionally and teaching dance since I was 18, going on auditions, working on jobs, that my agents sent me on and teaching all over Europe. I stumbled into choreography through my work in Production and seeing how that business side influenced the art of choreography. Also working with these top choreographers and directors, I got to see first-hand the creative elements that worked for camera and the budget! So all of those years working behind the camera and contributed to a personal aesthetic and style in my work.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would spend the majority of that time with said friend around our coastal areas . I love a good seaside town, I live in one! . I love Shoreline Village in Long Beach and the laidback atmosphere there! Panama Joe’s in Belmont Shores would be a MUST for hanging out for drinks and brunch. Also around Long Beach, there’s less of an “industry feel” which I love and the artists feel more real and that’s exciting to me.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My friend, Jamie Perry, invited me to a Landmark course for me to see what it was about. I was hesitant at first, I ended signing up to the first course, then the second Mastery course. My life after finishing the programs changed, even my mother was astounded. Landmark gave me the tools to be effective and also get to my patterns I wanted to disrupt.
