We had the good fortune of connecting with Cameron Lew and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cameron, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Its all about the people. The way i see it…When people first contact me, they do it with the intentions of getting in shape. But.. there are so many facets to health and fitness that most people are just simply not aware of that go far beyond lifting weights or doing cardio.
I find my role is to educate them on what those things are and how they can create healthy meaningful habits that can be implemented into their day to day life.
Losing weight and getting stronger become a byproduct of what the real overall goal is.. Which is to make their life better…To get better. To have more energy, and be more flexible,
And when life calls upon it, they are able to do activities and be confident in their abilities.
Whether that means runnings, jumping, playing with their kids, playing basketball on the weekends, helping their friend move.
Whatever it may be, its so much better when you know how to move your body, your confident in those motions and you wont be wiped out from something as light as walking up a few flights of stairs.
So I think the most important factor behind my journey is that its all about the people. I truly care about guiding people in how to be healthy and active.
To give people more energy, boost their confidence, their work, their love life, the removal of daily aches and pains that they thought was normal… the list goes on and on..
But to watch those benefits carry over into other aspects of life nothing beats that feeling. Nothing beats the feeling of just seeing people get better.
What should our readers know about your business?
To be an effective coach.. it takes constant learning and research. Everyone is different so everyones needs are different. You must genuinely be interested in learning how to help all those different types of people. The hardest thing to do nowadays is to be honest with yourself as a coach. To recognize what you don’t know and go deep dive into finding that answer. This is my approach with every person that comes to me. How can I best help YOU and your needs, and how do I tie that into a proper strength and conditioning program effectively.
Steady constant growth will create lasting habits that will carry over into a lifestyle.
