Meet Carl Morrissette | Celebrity Personal Trainer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Carl Morrissette and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Carl, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
My discipline and struggles are what helped me become the person I am today. My interest in fitness grew when I was mocked and bullied for my skinny physique. To overcome this shortcoming I started training seriously and became one of the most celebrated fitness trainers the industry has ever known. Everyone should adopt a fit lifestyle to face grave challenges that come up from time Timor time. I believe that being fit helps you over come many obstacles not only physically, it makes you mentally tough.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was a mere 117 lbs and now 160 lbs. After nine years of consistent training and dedication towards leading a fit lifestyle. I have a sinister past of being homeless for 6 months on Venice Beach in 2019 and thinking of ending my life owing to depression. I bounced back in 2020 and became homeless again in January 2022. I went ahead to create a career for myself and really follow through as a celebrity personal trainer. Fitness helped me overcome many challenges in life. I have impacted many lives by transforming over 5,000 people around the world and I’m incredibly proud of myself. The main thing I’d tell anyone is to always believe in yourself and never give up, no matter what life throws at you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite spot to train at would definitely have to be Iron Addicts gym. It’s known for it’s hype fitness content with CT Fletcher and Mike Rashid, two fitness icons killing the game. I love the energy and staff there, I’d definitely recommend it if you like old school gyms.
My favorite spots to eat are Dirt Dog and El Primos Tacos off Lincoln Blvd in Venice. If you love street tacos I’d definitely recommend them and if you love hot dogs try out Dirt Dog.
Last but not least Santa Monica Beach was a place I’d go for meditating. It’s so peaceful listening to the ocean and feeling the cool morning breeze.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My manager is Travis Horn also know as @thebalanceguru on instagram is a big part of my success. Not only has he been my therapist for years he’s been like a big brother I’ve never had. He has helped me grow mentally and physically strong over the years of heavy training. Travis is also known for the highest handstand on Guinness World Records, go checkout his page if you haven’t already.
My mother Edda Munoz is also a big part of my success, I’ve helped her out for the past few years that way I can help her buy a house. My goal is to retire my mother and travel the world with her, she deserves the world. She came here as an immigrant from Honduras to make a way for her family, my mother is the reason I never make excuses. Seeing her become a citizen was a big milestone for her, she’s the best supporter anyone could have.
