We had the good fortune of connecting with Carlos Ojeda and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Carlos, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
I feel that my determination and consistency are what make me successful. There are many times when it felt easier to just give up when things just did not go my way. Many times I wanted to give up and then out of nowhere a customer would call needing my services and that would remind me to keep on working. Because of my determination, I am now the Director of videography for the Orange County Fashion Week. I am responsible for all the filming projects that have to do with OC Fashion Week and the programming. My career will continue to only grow from here and I am excited to see what the future holds.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is I am self-thought. I learned how to film, edit, color, and sound production all from using youtube and I am very proud of that. When I am into something I become obsessed with learning it. Because of my obsession with watching movies, I have learned how to tell stories using different techniques.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Downtown LA is the place where I would take them because there is amazing architecture, lots of weird places, and people. Downtown has some great places to eat and take pictures. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a huge shoutout to my wife for supporting me and pushing me to always do my best. She always gives me honest feedback when I show her my work and she believes in me.
