We had the good fortune of connecting with Stephany Camacho and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Stephany, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Balance is the even distribution of weight enabling someone or something to remain upright and steady. While there are so many responsibilities that call our attention in our daily lives, balance is found within each persons priorities. Over time as more demand comes in for responsibilities, it is up to every individual to define what is important to them. For me, music is my core and passion which will always have a special place in my heart and lifestyle. Music is also part of what I do for a living. Therefore, it is crucial for me to separate work and fun from music as well. I also work in Marketing and have learned that balancing between an overload work week and what I do for fun/peace/growth has to be of top priority. There have been times in my life that I have not had the best balance and have allowed for work to take over but I have realized that in the end if there’s no balance, certain areas in one’s life are always going to be lacking. My short term goal at this time in my life is to redefine what my priorities are as I step into a different age and to find balance in creating more and working a 9 to 5.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am happy to share that consistency and preparation meets opportunity almost every single time. As someone who grew up with the foundations of “go get what you want, practice and be ready for your moment to shine”, I can say that putting in those 10,000 hours is what is going to take you from one level to the next. Challenges are always going to be present or facing you but it is up to you if you allow them to define you or win over your battle. I’ve learned that perseverance eventually brings in the results. It is not an easy road and I doubt it’ll ever be but dreams do come true. I want it to be known that music will always be my home. One of the things that makes me happy is to be able to share my stories and lyrics with you all. My goal is not fame but to be heard and for people to recognize my sound and voice. As of May 2022, I released my single “Imma Do Me” which a self care, self love anthem. While it’s completely in English, I invite you all to check out my entire catalog of music on all streaming platforms both in Spanish & English. I look forward to more music and creating !

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You can’t visit LA without checking out Santa Monica Pier, Venice and Beverly Hills. Yup, those areas are known to be picture and ambiance worthy. I would take my friend to check out “La Descarga” for a night of dancing and fun and would eat at ” The Elephant ” in Santa Monica. For some shopping or hanging out I will take my friend to the Culver City mall. Lastly we would end up on a 626 night market exploring the food and events in Arcadia.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
When you have so many creative ideas and dreams, it is important to surround yourself with a team of like minded and supportive individuals. I give my family and close friends the credit for the support and mentorship they provide me. There’s no I in team and I know I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish certain things if it wasn’t for their encouragements and efforts. Thank you ♥
