We had the good fortune of connecting with Cassandra Scerbo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cassandra, how does your business help the community?
Ensuring I find a way to create social impact has always been incredibly important to me. While on the show “Make it it Break it” I was eager to find a way to amplify this mission using my growing platform. I was then approached by an anti-bullying organization called Boo2Bullying to come on as their Girls Youth Ambassador. From there, I worked my way up to West Coast Executive Director and now serve as Vice President.

The arts and activism go hand in hand for me. The fact that I get to utilize my wonderful platform and all of the amazing and giving people I’ve met throughout the years in Los Angeles, to shine a light on our cause is such an incomparable feeling.

Our main focus is to eradicate hate and intolerance as well as uplift our youth with our educational programming. We have served over 100,000 students throughout the years and are excited for this number to multiply. No work is more important to me than pushing our anti-bullying and suicide prevention outreach. I’m so proud to be a part of Boo2Bullying.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve professionally been a part of the entertainment industry since age 10 and have had the pleasure of portraying over 50 characters throughout my life thus far. Each project allows for different research and all kinds of beautiful relationships. I feel so grateful to be able to do what I love most for a living. Telling stories is my absolute passion and touching lives along the way feels to be my purpose. It’s incredible when your passion fuels your purpose. Amongst these credits are Bring it On 4, Maje it or Break it, the Sharknado franchise, Truth or Dare and Grand Hotel to name a few.

The main thing I have learned throughout the years aside from perseverance, is balance. It’s important to always remain grounded and fulfilled in your personal life in order to attack your dreams and goals. I feel that it’s easy to get caught up in this industry, which is why I make sure I allot proper time for family, friends, travel and philanthropy.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite restaurant is the sunset tower on sunset Blvd. it had a beautiful ambiance and the food is incredible.

I love to go for drinks at the rooftop of the Shangri-la hotel over-looking the ocean in Santa Monica.

Hiking is a necessity whenever someone visits as there are so many great paths! Runyon, Fryman and Griffith are pretty popular in the Los Angeles area. However, there are fantastic hikes with secret waterfalls all throughout Malibu as well!

The Grove is also great for a casual day of shopping and dining.

Malibu Wines is a must!
