Meet Cearra Stinson | Multi-Hyphenate Wellness Entrepreneur & Yoga Instructor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cearra Stinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cearra, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
My brain baby, Healing Health came into fruition between 2017-2018, post graduating with my Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences from Howard University. The idea came to me naturally, as I was trained by the nonprofit I was working for at the time, as a prenatal Health Coach. After receiving that training, and my studies in Health Sciences- I really embraced a holistic lifestyle, which led to a lot of my friends and family frequently seeking my advice on wellness. Their trust and the positive feedback I received, inspired me to consider what offering my services professionally would feel and look like. Additionally, interning at a local yoga studio- helped me really get into a entrepreneurial mind and envision what I wanted in the future, I knew I had to begin somewhere! I’ve always been deeply committed to helping others, and I recognized a significant gap in accessible, personalized wellness guidance within my community. This realization, combined with my experience with healing myself, combined with my passion to make a meaningful impact in the world, made me realize this was the perfect path for me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a multi-hypenate wellness entrepreneur, I’ve combined my passion for holistic health, wellness, and movement with my expertise in yoga to offer comprehensive wellness solutions in my community. What sets me apart, is that my business is truly heart-based. Every aspect of my work is rooted in a genuine care and compassion for my clients. I prioritize building meaningful relationships and connections, and value how my business feels to others. My approach goes beyond just providing services- I am very intentional on curating experiences and sacred space, where clients and students feel valued and safe- creating an environment for each person to thrive and grow. Being a heart-based brand allows me to connect on a deeper level with those I serve, offering personalized, holistic strategies that address the mind, body, and spirit. Seeing clients and businesses thrive and knowing that I played a part in the journey, is incredibly fulfilling and drives me to continuously improve, get new certifications, and expand my own heart and offerings. I am most proud of my capability to grow through my own grief, while being able to still pour into my business and community, I often times find myself telling clients that this isn’t work, this is medicine for me and them. With that being said, things have definitely not been easy to say the least, losing my father, then getting pushed into a pandemic, which caused me to lose my job, while just getting my yoga certification felt like the worst tragedy ever written. I was able to navigate these challenges with God, and diving deeply into new and familiar wellness practices to regulate my nervous system. A few things that helped me then and continue to help me are: Acupuncture, Somatic Massage, Yoga, Sound Healing, Hiking, Journaling, Spiritual Baths, and Dancing to name a few. To navigate the challenge of just receiving my yoga certification and being placed indoors, I took a lot of clients virtually, I held space for virtual yoga gatherings, and did yoga sessions on IG Live, to keep the things I learned fresh in my mind, and to also have something for people to utilize in such a hard time. Once we were able to get back outdoors, I began to offer yoga sessions in person, and create community in other spaces- which led to me seeking out more certifications to expand my offerings.
Some of the lessons I continue to learn along the way is that authenticity is key- Seriously! Staying true to yourself and your values will resonant with who it’s supposed to. Self-care is a non-negotiable! You can not pour from an empty cup, especially in this work- I’ve learned how to really cultivate healthy boundaries, and take care of myself first-so that I can be in the best space when working with others. Failure is an opportunity for growth- On my journey, I’ve encountered many setbacks and challenges-I still don’t have everything figured out, but the space of perceived failure is actually fertile ground, You are able to learn, readjust, and sow new seeds-Failure is just a sign of you not giving up! Which leads me to another lesson, All we have is now. Nothing is accomplished in stagnancy- often times, you have to get out of your own way and learn as you go-No matter how slight, move toward your personal north star- you will look up one day and see how close you are.
I want the world to know that I have so much more to offer, we all do, actually- and that excites me! We are at a very interesting time in history- There’s a lot of darkness we are all experiencing and witnessing globally, but through the depths of darkness, beautiful things can come into existence. I’ve poured my heart and soul into building a brand that reflects this- I am just a catalyst for change, we all possess our own inner healer and if you dig deep enough, you will be able to heal yourself in all dimensions. Ultimately, my brand is more than just a business- it’s a movement, a movement towards greater health, joy, and connection, both within ourselves and with each other. I’m excited to continue sharing my journey and spreading this message of wellness and love far and wide!
No mud, No lotus.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am no longer in LA, but I still would love to show a friend around to some of the gems I loved in the city! We definitely have to set the tone and see what’s going on cosmically for our week! Astrogong Yoga on LaBrea will have us covered. Next we have to fuel up with some high vibrational eats, we’re heading to Cafe Gratitude- playing Backout by 24hrs heading over there! Next, stop Leimert Park for some local shopping and all around 10/10 vibes, Naturally Naturals & Apothecary on Degnan Blvd will be the first stop to get some sage, crystals and herbs for our week. Then we’ll stop at Harun next door for a quick snack, fuel up with a matcha or smoothie, we are on the LA minute, so that’s needed! From there we’re heading hiking, you HAVE to hike while in LA, the tride and true Runyon Canyon is where we’ll hike for the immaculate views. Whew, nap time- because self-care is key! Now, we’re ready to pop out and head to Tao for dinner, it’s such a fun and flirty environment- get’s really busy there, so honorable dinner mentions for something more lowkey, Perch or Gracias Madres for din. We’ll end our night with drinks at Harriet’s rooftop, loving life! Our next day would start with brunch at Cecconi’s, and we would see where life would take us from there!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Dedicating this interview and shouting to heaven, I LOVE YOU THIS MUCH! To my father, Ceasar Stinson- he transitioned in January of 2020. His last post on FaceBook was dedicated to me, and read: “No matter how slight – move in the direction of your dreams! This is a well lived life! Proud of you” He was my biggest supporter and I owe so much of my success to him and the values he instilled in me, I am honored to be apart of a legacy of love and light- and to still have stories and medicine to share with the world.
