We had the good fortune of connecting with CHAEL THE APOSTLE and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi CHAEL, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I embarked on this journey because music is my life, and I believe worship is one of the highest forms of praise we can offer to God. From a young age, I felt a deep connection to music, not just as an art form but as a spiritual expression—one that has the power to uplift, heal, and bring people closer to God. The Lord has placed songs and a testimony on my heart, and I feel a strong calling to share them with others who are walking in the faith.

Through my music, I want to encourage, inspire, and remind people that they are not alone in their struggles or their victories. We all have a story, and I believe God uses music as a vessel to touch hearts and transform lives. Songwriting and performing are my passions, and every time I create or step on stage, my goal is to glorify God in all that I do.

This journey isn’t just about me—it’s about building a community of believers who can worship together, grow together, and strengthen one another in faith. Whether through a song, a lyric, or a live performance, I want my music to be a place where people can encounter God, find hope, and feel the presence of His love. At the end of the day, it’s all about Him, and I’m honored to use my gifts to serve and praise His name.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Music has always been my passion. Since I was nine years old, but for much of my life, I was on a very different path. I started out as an R&B secular artist, writing, recording, and performing music that reflected the world around me, unaware of the spiritual weight of what I was committing myself to. Music was my passion, but I didn’t realize that the direction I was taking was pulling me further away from my true purpose.

In 2016, I moved to California to pursue my dream of making it in the music industry. I was filled with ambition, but instead of opportunities, I encountered roadblock after roadblock. The rejection, struggles, and disappointments slowly chipped away at me, and what started as frustration eventually led me into one of the deepest depressions of my life. In my downward spiral, I sought solace in all the wrong places—falling into the temptations of the world, indulging in sex, drugs, and dissociation to numb the pain. The very passion that once fueled me became a distant memory. I lost myself. I lost my voice. I no longer had the inspiration or the capability to sing.

But God.

In 2023, in the midst of my brokenness, God intervened. Even though I was weary, reluctant, and drowning in depression, He called me into a journey of healing. At first, I didn’t understand it. I didn’t know if I had the strength to follow, but I surrendered and allowed Him to lead me. And He did. He brought me out of my struggle, out of my shame, and into a place of restoration.

It was during a 40-day cleanse—where I surrendered pornography, alcohol, and narcotics—that something miraculous happened. As I stripped away the things that were keeping me bound, God poured something new into me. In the stillness of the night, He began placing songs on my heart—songs of worship, testimony, and purpose. It was as if He was breathing life into me again, reigniting the fire I had lost. This music wasn’t just songs—it was my covenant with the Father, my declaration that we would never BE APART.

From that moment forward, I was never the same. The music that was birthed in that season became my testimony, my praise, and my offering to God. Now, every lyric, every note, every performance is an act of worship, a reflection of the transformation He has done in me. What once was lost has now been redeemed, and I will use my voice to glorify Him for the rest of my life.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A week long trip with a best friend would consist of;

Nature hikes and connecting with self and the Father

Church Events and bonding with community

Social Mixers in the evening , networking with other like minded business individuals.

Popular eateries and nice restaurants to experience the different cuisines that Los Angeles has to offer

Museums and Shopping Centers.

Most importantly the Beach! I love being by the water and feeling the power of the ocean.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give all glory and honor to Jesus Christ for saving my life. There was a time when I was trapped in a deep place of depression and despair, feeling lost and broken with no way out. But in my darkest moments, when I felt the most alone, He met me there. He didn’t just see my pain—He stepped into it, wrapping me in His love and grace in a way I never thought possible.

Jesus touched the areas of my heart that I had buried, the wounds I thought would never heal. He restored me piece by piece, renewing my mind, strengthening my spirit, and showing me a love greater than anything this world could offer. He reminded me that I was never alone, that He had a purpose for my life, and that His plans for me were far greater than my struggles.

I stand here today, not because of my own strength, but because of His mercy and faithfulness. He turned my pain into purpose, my despair into hope, and my brokenness into a testimony of His power and grace. So I give this shout-out not just as a statement, but as a declaration—Jesus Christ is my Savior, my Redeemer, and the reason I am here today. All praise and glory to Him!
