Meet Christina Alexandra | Actor and Writer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Christina Alexandra and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christina, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
Ultimately, I hope to leave behind stories that resonate long after the credits roll. To be someone who consistently creates work in writing and film that are emotionally immersive and genre-defying, using fantastical worlds to illuminate real human struggles and social issues. If my work helps reshape the industry for the better—opening doors for new voices and offering audiences more meaningful, transformative experiences—I’ll consider that a legacy worth leaving.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My writing lives at the intersection of bold storytelling and emotional authenticity. One of my proudest accomplishments is Roommates—a series I wrote, produced, and starred in—that went on to win multiple awards on the festival circuit. I also released my debut novel, Kill the Boys, which is available at Barnes & Noble. Each of these milestones represents a piece of a larger vision: to tell layered, meaningful stories that reflect underrepresented experiences and challenge the norms of genre and structure.
It was definitely not easy being that the entertainment industry is constantly evolving, and with that comes instability—lost resources, setbacks, and the need to constantly pivot. But Ive learned that adaptability is essential. I’ve grown by surrounding myself with collaborators who share my vision. This industry doesn’t always reward artists fairly, so finding the right people and nurturing those creative partnerships has been key to bringing my work to life.
Right now, I’m actively writing new scripts and growing my production company, ObsidianTV, as a home for the kinds of stories I want to tell—narratives that are imaginative, socially relevant, and deeply human. If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my work, it’s that every project is driven by intention. I’m here to disrupt and create stories that stick with you.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’d definitely want to give them an authentic taste of the city where I’m from—New York! We’d start in Brooklyn, with a visit to The Four Horseman. It’s hands down the best food I’ve had with an incredible wine selection.
After that, we’d explore Fort Greene Park—it’s one of the city’s gems. Saturdays are the best time to go because the park is filled with a wide array of artisan vendors.
An entire day can be spent exploring DUMBO, maybe grab coffee at Brooklyn Roasting Company, and walk along the Brooklyn Bridge Park to enjoy the amazing skyline views. We’d hit up iconic spots like Russ & Daughters for some bagels and lox in Brooklyn and head to Manhattan to stroll through Strawberry Fields in Central Park. And of course, the trip must end with a laugh at the comedy cellar!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Aside from the many incredible collaborators I’ve had the privilege of working with, I want to give a shoutout to my fiancé, Ian Harvey. He’s not only my biggest supporter, but a true partner in every sense—cheering me on when I doubted myself, pushing me to keep going when things felt impossible. From moving across the country to support my career or jumping in to help produce my work, he’s helped bring my stories alive.
