Hi Christine Ly & Olivya Soth, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks is an important part of a successful business. Risk involves uncertainty and the possibility of failure, but it provides opportunities for innovation, adaptation and growth. By embracing risks, we’ve been able to push past our comfort zones and challenge ourselves. Even if the outcome differs from what we expect, the ability to explore and challenge the slime industry is itself an achievement. The risks we take are thoroughly analyzed, of course, and we’re always prepared to navigate the challenges we may face. For example, we take risks every week when we drop new products! It’s fun to learn along the way.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We create and sell slime! Slime has become popular in the past few years as a toy, stress-reliever and unique gift. It is a multi-sensory experience with a wide range of uses that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Interestingly enough, a majority of our customers are adults. Many people find playing with slime to be a calming and soothing experience, which can help to reduce stress and anxiety.

As slime creators, we are proud of the unique slimes we have brought to life and the joy they have brought to our customers. Our passion has allowed us to incorporate parts of ourselves into our work, resulting in unique slimes that reflect our interests and personalities. But beyond the aesthetics, what we value most is the ability to connect with others and bring out their inner child through our creations. It makes us happy to see people of all ages excited and curious as they explore the different textures, colors, themes and scents of our slimes. We are grateful that we can create a space of joy and relaxation where they can let go of their worries and simply enjoy the moment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I personally don’t think we’d get to do much in LA with all the traffic! Every other week, we set aside a day for self-care. Whether it’s tanning on the roof by the pool and ordering food, relaxing at a Korean Spa or playing with our dogs, Iris & Akira, at the park. Our favorite go-to brunch spots are Met Her at A Bar and Perch. The food never disappoints. We also can’t resist stopping by the Alchemist Coffee Project for a matcha lavender latte when we’re in the area.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
