We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Roe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christopher, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
It’s some thing I’ve grown up in since the day I was born. I think photography is a beautiful art form…..you can tell so many stories within just a picture it really is a beautiful way of showing your vision.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’ve always been intrigued with the photography world…. like I’ve said 1000 times photography creates so many stories and so many emotions. Sometimes I can’t explain how I feel in words… but taking a certain shot can give so much meaning to how I feel.

It’s definitely been difficult some of the biggest challenges I’ve had to learn is lighting… and realizing that lighting is everything and I think that’s been the biggest challenge for me….
especially learning how to work with natural light and realizing the differences within it all.
I guess I just want the world to know that I try to create a story within every photo that I take…
either behind the camera or in front of it.
I just want the person to feel what I’m going through…
whether that’s me as happy as a piece of pie on a sunny day or as gloomy as Seattle every weekend

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Los Angeles so… Like there’s 1000 places you can take somebody. It’s very hard to kind of just pick one… but I would have to say Malibu there’s so much you can do in Malibu just from a beautiful eye candy standpoint the sunsets and the sunrises…
Driving down the PCH to me… it’s definitely California vibes to the max you can see so much and feel so much just driving down that highway.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I shoutout Bart Mastronardi He pushed my photography and modeling to a different level……just from clients and working with him that got me opportunities that if I hadn’t met him or worked with him as his apprentice
I wouldn’t be in this position that I am today.
If I were to blow up tomorrow…it would be because of Bart Mastronardi…… I owe him everything !!!
