We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Sky and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher, why did you pursue a creative career?
Growing up I’ve always wanted to do a million things. Even as I got older, it was hard to find just one thing or few things I’d want to do in my life. I couldn’t seem to narrow my interest and I was always involved in tons of clubs, organizations, and sports but it was through creating/acting, where I found something that allowed me to be everything I loved and anything I could ever dream of.
Through acting I can be and do so many things in one career, a career that I’m passionate about.
That’s why I chose to be an actor. Acting really allows me to live a million lives and the possibilities are endless. I wouldn’t trade it for any other career in the world.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I want to bring as much authenticity to my roles as I can. Art reflects life and I want people to watch my work and feel connected to it. I think it’s magical when someone feels connected to someone’s story and experiences, especially when it’s experiences the viewer never had.
Art like this helps bring people together and that’s what I want to do. I want to bring people together and leave people feeling inspired.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
You can catch me surfing in Sunset beach, roller skating at Mar Vista hockey rink, hiking Los Liones Trail, or biking the path from Santa Monica to Venice during sunset. I go to Taco Tuesdays at Trophy Wife, Wing Wednesdays at Berkshire House, and Sundays I go to Leimert Park for great food vendors and to watch the west African drum circle performances
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shoutout all the artists and creatives that I’ve grown alongside over the years. There are people that have worked on scenes/studied lines with me, let me stay on their couch when I had nowhere to go, and people who spent countless hours doing headshots or auditions with me without asking for anything in return.
I am forever grateful and my goal is to keep paying it forward.
