Meet Ci Ci Foster | Entrepreneur & Filmmaker

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ci Ci Foster and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ci Ci, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
I’ve always been somewhat of a risk taker growing up, but I didn’t start to really feel super comfortable with the unknown until I opened my studio. I realized that great achievement involves great risk. Throughout my spiritual growth I’ve become more comfortable with risks. I usually set an intention and don’t worry about failing because I understand that all of life is really a learning lesson. And more people are afraid of failing because they are super concerned with what other people would say about them. As soon as I gave up that mindset and embodied living for MY purpose, and not giving a damn about what people say or think, I started to fly!

What should our readers know about your business?
My business 4 Hearts Studios offers standing sets to filmmakers at an affordable rate. Being a filmmaker myself I understand what they need to have a successful shoot. I believe my strong passion for storytelling is what sets us apart from the rest. I get excited about just watching other filmmakers shoot their projects. I am always willing to help filmmakers have a successful shoot. The studio has been around 5 years now. The most challenging part was the beginning; we had to find the perfect space, build all the sets, and get the word out to the filmmakers. Once word got out it took off, but it is a challenging business. I’ve learned to always think positive and know that whatever challenges you are hit with, you will overcome if you don’t give up.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Whenever I have friends or family visiting I take them to the beach in Malibu or Venice. I’ve gotten hooked on Ramen since living in LA, so I take them to a ramen spot in NOHO.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate my shoutout to my husband Kevin for always supporting me and believing in my dreams.
