We had the good fortune of connecting with Claudia Lee and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Claudia, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is the game we all participate in. Without risk there is no fun, there is no instinct reaction or decision making. We all stay similar and boring. Risk has played a huge role in my life and career. You must take risks as an artist otherwise what’s the point. Fear of rejection will castrate creativity. I can admit that some risks were worth taking, and others were painful. I have regrets for not taking enough risks, but I can’t move forward if I’m starring back. As a woman in the entertainment industry, in some ways; you’re always at risk. It’s a big risk to navigate Hollywood, to be vulnerable, and to put yourself out there.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve been acting since I was 13 years old. I think what sets me apart from others is that I’m 100% me. You can’t recreate or even imitate this. I know who I am and I’m not going to let anyone claim or disrupt that. I’m really excited that the strike is, hopefully, behind us. I’m ready to start diving into scripts and taking meetings.

I got here by sheer will, luck, and the help of my family and mentors. I always knew I was going to be an actress and entertainer. I somehow believe that my deep knowingness also brought me here. You know how if you think it and believe it, then it will be true? So I did everything I could to get the support of my family, and to end up in Los Angeles pursuing my dreams. I’m so lucky that my family was able to help me do so.

This journey isn’t easy but I don’t want easy. Also the life I want to live and goals I want to reach are not easy to attain. I love this wild ride, and wouldn’t change it for anything. My journey is still unfolding, this is only the beginning.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I like hopping around! For a food and vibe tour, I would take my visiting bestie to the Smoke House for a martini and the delicious garlic bread. The cheese is powdered cheddar, and that cheese definitely has to be illegal! It’s so delicious and beyond worth it. We would then head over the hill to hit up Tower Bar for a nice appetizer and people watching. I honestly love the view of the city there and the history of the hotel. My two new fave spots are Bar Monette and the Georgian Hotel Speakeasy. Bar Monette is by far the most innovative and chef driven meal I’ve had in LA. It’s a must, and words don’t even begin to describe the experience you encounter when stepping foot into this cozy culinary corner. The Georgian Hotel Speakeasy is chic and kitchy. With DJs spinning tunes and handsome hotties making cocktails. It feels like Old Hollywood, and I love every bit of it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate this to my brother Zak and my parents. For the sacrifices you made and the belief you never gave up on. I owe it all to you. I love you forever!
