We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarahi Gonzalez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarahi, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
I have countless dreams that I want to accomplish in my lifetime. My vision for the future is full of ideas written down in journals, hoping they will come true one day. I have always been a visionary and have GOD-SIZED dreams! I believe there is no limit when I have God by my side. A few of those dreams entail being a best-selling author, a renown keynote speaker, and of course a thriving full-time artist and CEO of Your Smile Is A Vibe. In addition, I hope to open a wellness center where I aspire to teach art-related workshops, host galleries for underprivileged youth to showcase their art and find creative ways to bring healing to my community. The end goal is to be absolutely filled with joy and peace at the end of my career and throughout. I want to look back and know that I made a difference in the world. My dream is to pass on Your Smile Is A Vibe to my children and generations to come. I hope that they can keep the legacy going and transform people’s lives with God’s art and love.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I truly believe that my art is unlike any other. God has gifted me with beautiful visions of healing that display on every canvas I paint. My original paintings are one-of-a-kind, just like the person who buys them! Not one of them is alike. That’s what makes my art unique. I also believe that my story of redemption allows me to get really creative on my ipad and make some dope digital art! I’ve been experimenting a lot with photo art and it’s been so much fun. I am always looking for new ways to bring my ideas to life. My art is vibrant and full of life! Every piece has a beautiful story distinctive to others. I am most proud of how I have continued to grow and learn since I started my business. I’m not perfect and I don’t know everything but I never give up. I love my resiliency and courage to step into my purpose even when it frightens me. I am so excited to continue to grow, release new products and announce some surprises I’m planning for the near future! It took one friend, Terra, to call me an artist. After my first showcase I leaped into this business adventure and never looked back. It was one of the most difficult years of my life because I had to overcome a lot of mental struggles and renew my mindset. I have been able to overcome everything that comes my way through community, God, and of course art. The biggest lesson that I learned was to trust in God’s perfect plan and timing. Once I was able to surrender my business to Him and walk with Him on this journey without fear, I was free and found myself with peace that transcends all understanding. Now, if something doesn’t work out as I had hoped, I know that God will show me something better along the way. So I trust in the process and guidance, knowing that I’m looked after by a good Father. I want the world to know that Your Smile Is A Vibe has a bright colorful future with endless possibility! I want my brand to bring you love, encouragement, healing, joy and peace. I hope that my story and art resonate with you and help you be vulnerable. If you need a friend, I am here to serve you and help you walk on your journey towards self-discovery. I love you all very much!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would definitely take them to different food spots I love like Huaraches in Highland Park and Shin-Sen-Gumi in Little Tokyo. After a little tour of the Arts District, I would do a sunset hike at Griffith and end the night with dessert at one of the local shops in Highland Park. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to every single person who has ever supported me, encouraged me, and helped me throughout my journey. I would not be here if it were not for all of the people who shaped me into the person I am today. In particular, I want to recognize my God, C3LA community, family, friends, and my puppy Lukie who have blessed me in more ways that I can count. Thank you for believing in me when I cannot see my own potential. Thank you for encouraging me when I feel hopeless. Thank you for loving me despite my flaws. Thank you so much for supporting my dream in big and small ways, everything has been a blessing. I will always be grateful for your impact on my life. I love you all so much.
