We had the good fortune of connecting with Coco Wang and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Coco, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
At Goldhonor Financial & Insurance Services, our mission extends beyond financial planning—we are committed to strengthening the long-term financial well-being of the communities we serve. By providing customized insurance solutions and comprehensive financial strategies, we help individuals and families mitigate risk, protect their assets, and build sustainable financial futures.

For over 15 years, we have supported clients across Southern California in navigating critical life decisions, from retirement and education planning to tax efficiency and estate preservation. Our work plays a vital role in promoting financial literacy and stability, empowering clients to make informed decisions that positively impact not only their own lives but also future generations.

Through collaboration with a trusted network of attorneys, CPAs, and financial professionals, we deliver holistic guidance that helps reduce financial vulnerability and enhances economic resilience within our community. Many of our client relationships span over a decade, reflecting our dedication to integrity, personalized service, and long-term impact.

Ultimately, we believe that when individuals and families are financially secure, they are better positioned to contribute meaningfully to society. By helping our clients achieve their goals with confidence, we are proud to play a part in building stronger, more resilient communities.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets me apart is not just the services I provide, but the purpose behind them. In my work, insurance is more than a financial tool—it is a way to protect dignity, provide security, and bring peace of mind to those who need it most.

A significant part of my practice is dedicated to serving seniors, particularly within immigrant communities. This work is deeply personal to me. Having been raised by my grandmother while my parents worked to build a life as first-generation immigrants, I developed a deep respect and compassion for the elderly. Many of the clients I serve today remind me of her—resilient, selfless, and often navigating systems that were not built with them in mind.

Professionally, we guide seniors through the complexities of Medicare, ensuring they have access to the most suitable and competitive plans—covering their medical needs, prescriptions, and additional benefits such as vision, dental, transportation, and wellness programs. But what truly defines our work goes beyond insurance. We often act as advocates and trusted partners—helping clients communicate with providers, translating important documents, and simply being present to listen when they feel isolated or overwhelmed.

The journey to where I am today has not been easy. Building trust within underserved communities takes time, patience, and consistency. There were challenges in overcoming language barriers, cultural differences, and the general skepticism many people feel toward financial services. However, I learned that genuine care, integrity, and showing up consistently for clients will always speak louder than words. Over time, relationships grew, referrals followed, and a strong, loyal client base was built.

The most important lesson I’ve learned is that success is not just measured by business growth, but by the impact you make in people’s lives. When you lead with empathy and purpose, the business will follow.

What I want the world to know about me and my brand is simple: we are here to serve. We are here to bridge gaps—whether financial, cultural, or emotional—and to ensure that no one feels alone when navigating important life decisions. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to care, community, and creating lasting value for those we are privileged to serve.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Outside of work, I’m a big FOODIE, and being right next to Rowland Heights (the 626 AKA San Gabriel Valley area) is honestly a huge perk. Whenever I have friends visiting, I always encourage them to stay nearby and just explore the food scene.

The variety here is incredible—you can find such a wide range of authentic cuisines all in one area. From hidden gems to well-known spots, there’s always something new to try. Most people are genuinely surprised by just how diverse and high-quality the food options are. It’s one of those places that really leaves an impression.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate my deepest gratitude to my family—especially my grandmother—whose influence has profoundly shaped both my personal journey and professional values.

Like many Asian American families, my upbringing was rooted in the sacrifices of first-generation immigrant parents who worked tirelessly to build a foundation of opportunity for the next generation. While my parents focused on establishing our family’s future, I was raised by my grandparents, who became my guiding pillars during my formative years.

My grandmother, in particular, instilled in me a lifelong philosophy: first, work hard to become self-reliant; then, strive to support those around you; and ultimately, when you are able, extend your impact to those in need beyond your immediate circle. This principle has not only guided my life decisions but also serves as the foundation of my professional mission.

Her teachings continue to influence how I serve my clients and lead my business—grounded in responsibility, compassion, and a commitment to creating meaningful, lasting impact. She deserves immense credit for the values that drive both my personal growth and the purpose behind our company.
