We had the good fortune of connecting with Constantinos Vorrises and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Constantinos, what’s the most important thing you’ve done for your children?
Becoming a parent changes your life and the way you spend your free time. I have a 7 year old son and I try to spend a lot of time with him as I think the most important thing you can give someone is your time. The most important thing has been just being with him day by day and trying to enjoy the moments. It all goes by so fast.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My art consists of acrylic paint, abstract style or oil paint pens for more design and pattern type work.
I’m excited that I keep finding new ways to create with different styles. There’s always more you can do with abstract work and you can also do less as well. Its fun to look forward to the next art piece because I’m not sure what its going to look like. I start the process and see where it leads me. I’ve been drawing and painting for over 20 years and I feel like I’m just getting started. I love that about art.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d say Mario Guitron (@smurks_1) for getting me back into the Art shows again. We were in an art group years ago (MESH Collective) and its been years since we’ve done some shows together. It feels good to create consistently again.
