We had the good fortune of connecting with Dane Giordano and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dane, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
Overlooked but crucial: always being a little early to any session I’m booked on, leaving whatever environment I work in better off and cleaner than I found it, and letting the idea for any piece of music always be the most important thing no matter what

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Hey, my name is Dane Giordano and I’m a full time Audio Engineer/Producer & Composer based out of Memphis, TN. I’ve been doing this professionally for over 5 years now, mainly working out of Sun Studio and Young Avenue Sound. I got my start in music playing in several bands which then lead me to producing and recording artists and working in studios. It was a challenge to make that transition during the Covid era but the thing that prevailed was that with music and technology there is always a plethora to discover and learn from- this pursuit has been a tremendous motivator. I’m grateful to know that I actually know nothing about music and am forever a student to technology and audio.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would bring them to Sun Studio and Young Avenue Sound of course! There we would remain in the studio all week, occasionally taking a break to get some Gus’s.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Young Avenue Sound – a recording Studio in Memphis, TN that allowed me to work and grow in, they work on all kinds of music there and are always surpassing what can be possible with music.
