Meet Dani Renee’: Content Creator & Yoga Instructor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dani Renee’ and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dani, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind No Chill Zone was a progressive one. No Chill Zone has layers, it started off as an encouraging blog on Tumblr, then I transitioned it to a Youtube channel, and now it is a full service website that includes blog posts, Youtube videos and products for purchase.
As I built this brand, I crafted my own motto which is “to live life with No Chill,” and that ultimately means being true to yourself, doing the things you love, and always taking time to take care of your mind, body and spirit.
I wanted to create a space and community specifically for women to feel empowered, educated, and unapologetically themselves. Being in this digital age can sometimes be challenging and I wanted to create a safe space for women to know they aren’t alone in figuring out this journey we call life.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is creating content that is encouraging, fun and unique. I typically enjoy the areas of lifestyle, fashion and wellness, but I can also branch out into pop culture and entertainment. My content is typically curated through photos, Youtube/Instagram videos, and old fashion “pen and paper” blogging.
My lifestyle and wellness content are Youtube/Instagram videos that ultimately breakdown the importance of taking time for self reflection, self care tips and DIYs. Fashion content is literally me styling myself and working with a dope photographer to create some amazing fashion shots and looks. I’m most proud of launching my website (www.nochillzone.com) this year and creating a one stop shop where everyone can get all my content in one place.
I believe lots of prayer and strategy got me to where I am currently. Also a lot of trial and error because living in Los Angeles as an entrepreneur is easier said than done. I faced my challenges by confiding in my friends and family and really surrounding myself with like minded individuals. Surrounding myself with the right people has always kept me focused in pursuing my goals.
I would say the lessons I learned along the way are simple:
1. Never take “no” as a final answer be persistent always
2. Network and create your own circle and support system (no haters allowed in this circle)
3. Be goal oriented and write down realistic and attainable goals
4. Invest in yourself professionally and personally
5. Take time to always enjoy life, have FUN
I want the world to know No Chill Zone is here to stay, it is a positive and safe space developed and created by a real human woman who is moving through life too and sharing gems that she learns along the way. No Chill Zone is authentic and genuine.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend came to visit me for a week we would first off have a blast! I would definitely do a beach day at Hermosa Beach, which is one of my favorite beaches in Los Angeles. Then we would definitely have a fitness day which could start off with a hike at the Culver City stairs and enjoy the awesome view at the top, and then we would definitely do some hot yoga at Hot8Yoga in Koreatown. After all of that working out we would definitely need a delicious meal so we could grab some pho from one of my favorite pho spots “Simply Pho You” in Koreatown. We would also hit up Lemeirt park to do some shopping and eat some delicious Jamaican food at Ackee Bamboo. Then we could take a drive down PCH to Malibu and hang out at Zuma beach and stop at Red O in Santa Monica for some delicious margaritas. Then on the final day we would hang out in my apartment, cook some food and drink wine and laugh about life. We would also do some skin care DIYs.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I first would like to dedicate this to my Creator, because if it had not been for God I really don’t know where I would be. I also dedicate this shout out to my entire family who has always been there to encourage me, support me, and teach me. I’m so blessed to have had my late grandmother Annie Love who prayed with me every morning and encouraged me on the days I felt like giving up! My Mama, who never questions my abilities to succeed, she simply believes in me and supports me in every way possible. My family is the absolute best!
