We had the good fortune of connecting with Kilo Angeleno and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kilo, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
Overtime I’ve learned that world-class balance is achieved (and starts) by dedicating my first waking hour of the day to reflection, learning, and exercise. Miserable wisdom and Happy ignorance work best when working together. It’s one foot in order and the other in chaos. That’s how I think of balance- Being willing to make adjustments and manifesting our gifts all while scheduling vacations and weekend getaways.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art is music. Music is my gift. I sing in Spanish and English- Reggaeton, Dancehall, R&B, Trap, Ballads, Folk, etc. I was born in Los Angeles by way of Ecuador. My first EP is scheduled to debut later this year and I’m excited because it’s been a long time coming. I’ve sacrificed a lot and I’m excited to be the hottest artist that just so happens to be Latino. I want to be a staple in the globalization of Latin Urban Music and to continue to redefine the new mainstream through culture and to uplift humankind through music.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my brothers that play the background and help make everything happen for the brand (Kilo Angeleno)- Oqueli, Kaptain Dave, Georgio, my blood brother Jae, and a few others. They’re really the ones that deserve the credit behind the ideas we come up with for the songs, videos, shows, etc. They make sure I’m taken care of on the business side as well. When I leave to Miami or South America they’re right there with me. They’re all creatives and add value in their own way. We all believe and trust each other. I always say I’m the face, I’m the artist; but they’re Kilo Angeleno as well. They’re part of everything I do and thanks to their support we’re expanding exponentially.
