We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Ramirez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniel, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk is important in life, we get this one chance to get uncomfortable and move outside our comfort zone, the more risks we take the more we learn and move forward . Taking risks in my life have to do with me working a part time minimum wage job just so I can have enough time to grow my passion.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think I have a unique perspective on photography, I originally picked up a camera just to express myself. I found it really fun to upload to Instagram. I took a couple classes in photography at my local community college, bought a camera and took my learning in my own hands, watching YouTube videos, learning from friends, and throughout a 3 year span of many failed images, I continued to pursue and challenge myself and found my style that I am proud of and I’m no longer as judgemental about my work

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love going to the Venice beach, going through to Venice to Santa Monica is really fun. Getting a beer and a pizza from a local vendor and just chill by the peir with a blanket some beers and good music

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
