Meet DANIEL SKY | Rapper, Singer, Songwriter.

We had the good fortune of connecting with DANIEL SKY and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DANIEL, how do you think about risk?
I love risk! Fate Loves The Fearless, and taking risk shows you have belief in whatever it is that you are involved in! I think about risk like many others, what’s the worst that can happen and what’s the best that can happen. The best that can happen always out weights the worst for me. My whole life is risk so it played a huge part, to go against society’s norms and pursue something you believe in is one of the biggest risk a person can take.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I love exploring and trying to be innovative with my music, blending genres and styles from different decades to try and create a future sound for the next generation of music creation. Im most proud of being fearless in attempting to be different in my sound, not just in an image. The stuff im making and putting out right now is sometimes so different I dont even know if people are going to like it or understand it, but I enjoy that I think real art shouldn’t be understood right away, it should take some time to reach people. This ofcourse is not easy it took a lot of studying music history, artist, producers, composers to see where music creation has been in order to try and create where it should go next. I want the world to know that I am forever going to be an innovator, im never going to sound or create to match the times, or match what’s trending. My mindset is always 20 years ahead, its not about this year even if I created it this year, all this work is for the next generation to understand.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well first I always love to take people along the pacific highway, that route is so beautiful and inspiring. So we are always going to start in one of my favorite places “Wierdo Beach” aka Venice Beach! That place is always wild and full of life and people of all ages and groups. You’re always bound to see something crazy there, then were gonna drive up and stop at Santa Monica, then keep heading north towards Malibu until we stop at El Matador. Then we’ll drive thru the Canyons and come out in the Hollwood area and hit Montys in Echo Park for some good eats! Then when the night is calling were gonna hit Hollywood and work out way west into Who, then Beverly Hills.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my family, Dad, Mom, Brother, Sister, and everyone else who always let me be myself. Even if they didn’t fully understand me, or my moves they supported me fully! So Shoutout to them for always supporting my visions cause they arent always with-in the norm they are use to!
