We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Benavides and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Danielle, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks can be daunting especially when it comes to your livelihood. I have learned over the years that taking calculated risks, and sometimes just going for it, has much better results than over thinking with no action. So far in my life and career I have chosen to take risks, and I could not be more happier with the results. I am all about taking action, it sometimes can be a flaw in certain instances but for the most part you either learn to sink or swim.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am a Luxury & Coastal Real Estate Agent in Newport Beach, the road here has not been easy. I started my way from the bottom working in real estate as an escrow account executive, from there I learned more about business relationships and how to manage business relationships. Soon after learning about business relationship management, I negotiated a position for a mortgage lending company and started marketing for the company. I learned invaluable skills with both of these positions. I have to admit, I was very intentional on learning and mastering these skills because my end goal was to become a real estate agent. In addition to learning these skills, I made sure I was attending every workshop, conference, mastermind that was geared towards real estate agents. I made sure to have several conversations with top agents, to learn more about their business, what worked for them and what did not work. Again everything I was doing was very intentional. I did not know anything before venturing into real estate, I came from an educational setting working with students. Real estate was a new world for me, and I knew I wanted to succeed, there was no option for failure. Working my way from the bottom, and rubbing elbows with top agents was my way of educating and preparing myself for my future career as a licensed realtor! I love the life I have intentionally created, and I am still working towards bigger goals!
I want people to know that I am the hardest working real estate agent out there and I am dedicated to each and every client. I treat every client like they are part of my family, and always put there best interest first as if it were my own. Authenticity also goes a long way, my intentions are always pure. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I live in Orange County, CA – one of the best things about being in OC, is that we are so close to the water. A fun day will start with a nice hike by Crystal Cove, followed by a brunch in Laguna Beach at the Deck. Then we would make our way to Newport Beach for a fun Duffy boat ride where you can bring your own food, snacks, drinks and enjoy riding around the bay. After riding around in the Dufffy boat, we would head over to a nice dinner with water views at Nobu followed by drinks at Lido house rooftop!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a major SHOUTOUT to my dad! I have not given him the proper credit for the wisdom, guidance, support and most of all always encouraging me to go after all my wildest dreams.
